Thanks for this post, Commissioner. I know it's the type of thing you love to do, but it was still a lot of work. I have suggested for literally decades that the University create a huge display case near the main entrance of Calihan showcasing Titans in the NBA. Photos, jerseys, rosters, replicas of awards, etc. Imagine the ceremony unveiling the display with our living Titan NBA alums in attendance. (Hopefully we could get JJ and Ray to come.) Very few of the programs we go head to head with in recruiting can match us in this category. Right on with all your points! Commish rocks for doing this, and its cool (although a shade concerning) that it made it way to Coach Davis and he appreciated it as much as he did (shouldn't he already be provided these sorts of great insights about our program, I digress) Sam you are absolutely right about Calihan -- it should be big, loud, and gaudy as you walk in showing our incredible history (both NBA players and otherwise). I know there's some displays up front but it should be HUGE and unmissable that you are at a very special place for basketball.

As I think more about it, I'd like to see a section of the display that honors Titan NBA champions, featuring photos of guys like Long and Duerod in post championship games celebrations and/or displaying their championship rings/trophies. I know that in addition to Lighting Long and Sweet Du, Earl the Twirl and Dave D won NBA titles. Spencer got dismissed from the Laker 1980 team during the playoffs, so I don't know if he got credit for a title that year.

OU actually has a nice display of a couple of their NBA players and they obviously use it in recruiting.

I've never understood why, its not like we have a huge fan base and they are getting bombarded with ideals/suggestions. The only thing I can think of that showcases our NBA players is the faded photo of Kopicki, Long and Tyler.

BTW, at Michigan Tech's hockey arena they have such a display for its alums who played in the NHL (and they have quite a few). They even use a cute trick: They list players by NHL team. That allows a double counting. For example, the big board would have list Spencer Haywood six times, once under the name of each NBA club he played for (Seattle, New York, LA, Washington, New Orleans and Denver). Dave DeBusschere would be listed twice, under Detroit and New York, and Terry Duerod four times (Boston, Detroit, Dallas & Golden State). It would be an impressive display even without that trick, but if you don't look closely, listing the players by team makes the list of alums to reach the pros look really impressive.

In two games, Paris has taken 6 shots in 7 minutes of play. He’s taken an opportunity to succeed🏀

This is an outstanding job of compiling all this information, Commissioner. I have not seen it until today. Wisconsin- Milwaukee now has a player who has entered the NBA ranks, effective with the 2022-23 season. Patrick Baldwin had a cup of coffee with the Panthers last season, more you might say, as he played in a handful of games but was mostly injured. Fortunately for him, his talent did not go unnoticed and he was drafted by the champion Warriors last June. He has played for the big club this season while also spending some time in the development league (not uncommon).
