Jermaine Jackson was inside Calihan this week. I'm not aware of any other details. I assume his visit may be related to one of the assistant coach vacancies...

I wouldn't mind seeing JJ grab one of the asst coach spot, with a more experienced coach taking the other one.

I've always like watching JJ at a Titan player, would be great if he came back as an assistant coach!

He was a tremendous leader as a player and has been praised for his leadership qualities at almost every stop in his pro career. He did a great job at Mt. Clemens this past season and must have some working knowledge of the talent around the area thanks to his camps he's run. I think this would be a very good move.

Good point regarding his HS Coaching experience. Should be able to do a great job recruiting local talent.

I would like to see him get consideration as an assisstant. Having said that, I can tgink of a million reasons for his being there that have nothing to do with a position.

I didn't know that about his district. That's too bad. Whether he ends up at U of D or not, I hope he lands on his feet.
I do like the idea of having a successful ex-Titan with NBA experience on the coaching staff. Jermaine would likely have more of a connection to high school players of today than some of the older ex-Titans. Jermaine has played in the NBA against some of the guys that today's recruits players idolize. That would likely be a plus when he talks to them.

If JJ wants it, we should interview him for the position. I think with his college, professional experience and coaching he would be a solid candidate.

One year of High School coaching does not a head college coach make---not to mention the rep. he got in the conference after just one year at the Clem--- on the other side he does have experience (college / pro) which will/should help with recruiting

i agree with formertommy titan that 1 year of high school coaching is not enough.i think if jermaine is hired as an assistant under coach ray and stays around a couple of years he than would ba a candidate for a college head coaching position.

JJ had a very successful season at the Mount. 19-1 regular season record and the loss was in triple overtime. I believe they lost in district finals in the playoffs. Not sure on that though.
