A win is a win is a win! Great defense, that was the difference maker tonight. Good team effort on both ends of the floor! ESPN+ showed a close up of a certain "rc" at the game with a couple of nice looking blondes.

Former Titan Chris Brandon started for NKU, played 17 minutes. Scored a total of 2 points, grabbed 3 rebounds. Thought he would be having more production at this stage of his collegiate career.

Yes, I had family members from all over the country (only overstating that a little!) watching the game who sent me the proof! I sat next to my 66 year old blond sister and her 28 year old blond daughter! A little side bar: I didn’t bring a mask to the game and security wouldn’t let me in, so I had to go searching the campus for a mask which I found in the fitness center which caused me to miss the first 10 min of the game. I wasn’t too pleased.

According To the box score Davis only had 2 TOS. Seemed like more than that I can think of 2 shin passes. If Earl could work with Sylla a little it wouldn’t take much.

Mo Sylla stopped a lot of drives to the hoop merely by his presence in the middle. He is a Donnie Marsh discovery and project. Mo will be tested tomorrow by Basile. Let's hope he continues to improve.
And, yes, the Athletic Department should have masks available for those who forgot to bring theirs to the game. I guess that Covid is not a problem in Rochester.

A very good time for Waterman to be back into form and to make a big splash the next three games.

All well and good that Sylla is a Marsh project, pct. Good to see him make a 3 point play, block a shot and get a few rebounds. Why it took until the last 4 games of the season might be an apt question however.
As far as masks, Covid, etc. go, the University is overboard conservative in it's handling of it at games. Maybe they haven't noticed we've already been social distancing for several years with 800 or less fans in a building which seats 8,000.

We even get the No Mercy game time experience on ESPN+. I wonder if anyone else enjoys watching the silent blank screen for 2-3 minutes as much as I do. It only happens at our games if you watch other games on ESPN+ it doesn’t happen only at dear old Calihan. So you sit and wonder if you are disconnected. If you watch the game On Demand you can forward thru the blanks. I usually turn the sound off on Horizon games and the guy working with Earl is definitely a Horizon announcer but I enjoy Earl who might be the only Home Announcer in the league who knows what he is talking about.

I believe he has two years of eligibility left, if the progress continues he could be a pretty good contributor to the Titans before his career is over. Prior to the season one of the coaches described him as having very raw basketball skills, said he wasn’t as good as Koka yet, but thought he had a high upside.

Sylla actually contributes when he is in and doesn’t hurt us. Some guys are players and some are practice players. Sylla must be a player but the only way to find out was to see him in a game. Too bad we didn’t get him 5-10 min. A game earlier he would have more value now instead of wasting it on guys who can not play D or close out or shoot FTs.

Earlier this season Sylla did get some minutes in game situations, and he looked completely lost. Perhaps he is getting good coaching during practice sessions, responding with hard effort, and his incremental improvement there has warranted the larger role in recent games.
