Michigan adds a shooter. Adam Finkelstein @adamfinkelstein 1m Duncan Robinson, who starred for D3 Williams College last year, will transfer to Michigan next season. I am interested to see how this Duncan Robinson move works out. From D3 to the Big Ten is a huge jump. From Twitter: Jon Rothstein @jonrothstein 2h2 hours ago Under-the-radar Big Ten transfer: Michigan's Duncan Robinson. Former D-3 standout will see time as stretch PF. Shooter who adds spacing.

Cassius Winston announced that he was removing Michigan from his list of yesterday and it set off a chain reaction. Xavier Simpson, a four star guard out of Ohio, had announced that he would choose his college today and Wisconsin seemed to be the favorite. However, Michigan apparently put on a big push in the last 24 hours and are reportedly now being considered. As I type this, Simpson's decision time is less than an hour today and there is a lot of buzz about the Wolverines, who were not even among his top four choices. Could be an interesting afternoon. www.scout.com/college/basketball/recruiting/story/1584650-new-school-emerging-for-xavier-simpson

Heck of a win for Coach JB, who has had an underwhelming class of 2016 so far. espn.go.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/186725/xavier-simpson

After a blowout loss on the road to SMU, the Wolverines get some bad news today. Per Twitter:

Michigan benefited from a cupcake feast over it's last four non-conference games to build momentum, beat Illinois to open up the Big Ten slate. Bad news from Ann Arbor today, however, as Caris Lavert is ruled out for today's game against the Nittany Lions.
Jeff Goodman @goodmanespn 29m29 minutes ago Caris LeVert won’t play today due to lower left leg injury. This is not good news since LeVert has battled left foot injuries in his career.

Michigan picked up a nice win against Maryland on Tuesday. As my Dad remarked after the game, when Michigan is hitting their three pointers, they are tough to beat. The win was all that more impressive because Michigan was once again without Caris Lavert. The Wolverines have won seven of their last eight. espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=400839366Also, Michigan and Cincinnati have agreed on a home and home for the next two seasons. Jon Rothstein @jonrothstein 1h1 hour ago Cincinnati & Michigan will play a home & home series starting 12/17/16 in Cincinnati, sources told @cbssports. Return game in AA in 2017.

Michigan got some redemption in an uneven season by snagging an NCAA tournament bid. (Some people thought it was undeserved.) Michigan got a favorable draw with the play in game, facing a Tulsa team facing NCAA tournament worthy questions of their own. The Wolverines pulled off the 67-62 win and advanced to the first round. With their fans still reveling in the Michigan State Spartans loss earlier in the day, Michigan took a 12 point halftime lead against favorite Notre Dame before fading late and losing by a score of 70-63. www.mlive.com/wolverines/index.ssf/2016/03/michigan_notre_dame_gamer.html#incart_river_index

Spike is looking for a new home. Not sure I'd take the risk given his injury history, but I'm sure teams will work him out.
Jeff Goodman @goodmanespn 3m3 minutes ago Michigan grad transfer Spike Albrecht told ESPN he is looking at Purdue, Wichita State, Indiana, Texas A&M, Syracuse, USC & Milwaukee.
