Not a huge surprise - per Tony Paul, PG B.J. Simmons is moving on from his commitment For what it's worth, BJ's twitter account still has a pinned tweet announcing his commitment to the "University of Detroit". twitter.com/thebjsimmons

Nothing linking him to Detroit on his Twitter anymore. His bio says "Saginaw (plane emoji) Dallas" so he's p resumably looking at other options. Also, out of curiosity, I looked up Pacific's roster situation and Verbal Commits has them at one open spot. Perhaps Kam could grad transfer there and play with his brother if he does not stay in the draft?

With news slow I thought I'd touch on something I haven't seen noted, which is Jesse Barnes receiving an offer to Eastern Illinois.

Cory Hightower committed to Presbyterian. He is described as a "big time get" for the program.

Didn't know where to put this, but here are some still uncommitted names I noted on the transfer list:
Greg Egboigboden, 6-9 C/F, Illinois. Would be nice to bring him home.
Jaron Faulds, 6-10 C, Columbia. Faulds, who is from Holt, was recruited by Coach Ray, though never offered. Would he like to come home? Academics was obviously important to him in choosing Columbia over DePaul, Toledo, Central Michigan, and similar schools. Detroit ain't no Columbia, but might be more attractive than an OU, EMU, etc. Played in 26 of Columbia's 27 games as a freshman last year, averaging 14 minutes, 4.5 points, 3.2 rebounds.
Brent Hibbitts, 6-8 F, Michigan. HIbbitts, Class of '15, chose to walk on at Michigan rather than take offers from the likes of Central Michigan, Toledo, Brown, Lehigh, American, or Youngstown State. The Titans scouted but never offered. He redshirted in 2016, and played a total of 37 garbage minutes over the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Hibbitts is expected to graduate after summer school, meaning he would be immediately eligible as a grad transfer, with 2 years of eligibility left. I presume he wants to go somewhere where he'll get guaranteed playing time.
Dontel Highsmith, 6-3 G, Cleveland State. Former Mr. Basketball finalist, from Dowagiac, started at Northern Illinois. Grad transfer with 1 year left. Career marred by injuries. Depending on who Davis brings with him, we only have two scholarship guards on the roster--JJJ and McFolley, assuming McFolley stays. MIght add depth. It looks like he may decide to stay at CSU, though.
Hassan Hussein, 6-9 F, Florida International. Averaged 5.5 points, 3.2 rebounds in 18 minutes per game. Grad transfer, immediately eligible.
K.J. Scott, 6-1 G, Texas Southern. Since he was leaving TexSo, I presume he doesn't want to follow Davis to Detroit (or vice versa), but he's immediately eligible, averaged 12.6 ppg in 33 mpg before being injured early last season. Averaged 10 points as a junior in 2017.
Austin McCullough, 6-5 G, California. McCullough went from unoffered to having a couple good D-I offers after a strong finish to his senior year at Portage HS. He took a scholly at Cal, which was probably over-recruitment for him. He played in 12 of 13 non-conference games, and 4 of the first 5 conference games, but barely saw the floor after that. 6-5 shooting guards are very valuable in the Horizon.
Jason Williams, 5-11 G. Williams is leaving East Tennessee State after two years. Played in 32 games last year (10 mpg). Would add depth if he decided to return home to Detroit. Ray had scouted Williams but never offered.

Here's a little tape of Texas Southern commit Damon Harge, whom some have expressed interest in.
And here's some more recent:

Another D1 2018 Michigan commit (although we weren't recruiting him) - 6’7 Plymouth G Anthony Crump has committed to UNC Asheville. Crump is now at Middle Tennessee Crump originally signed to play at UNC Asheville during the early signing period in November 2017 before re-opening his recruitment following Coach McDevitt's departure. Crump has now committed to re-join McDevitt at Middle Tennessee

Preferred walk on. You are correct. Thank you. Greg E remains the guy I would like to get on that list. Hassan Hussein picked UIC, which is a nice pick up for the Flames. I guess Hibbits might be worth a shot as an immediately eligible grad transfer with two years of eligibility left. Not sure if he's on the radar of the new staff, though.

Marquis Moore was offered. I believe he's 6'5" to 6'6' W/SF/G from California and may have graduated in 2017 and attended prep or juco. I'm working on the specifics
