In the "What took them so long" or "you never know" category, we offered the top recruit in the class of 2018 in Michigan: Well, I like it. I remember when Dick Vitale arrived, one of the first things he did was go whole hog after Tom LaGaarde, the best player in the state, who by then was pretty well committed. Vitale couldn't quite pull it off--LaGaarde went to UNC--but he came close. It set a tone that we were determined to compete. Of course, those were different days, there was less national recruiting, and our standing in the college hoops world was higher. Still, I like the moxie. And maybe, just maybe, Bacari knows something we observers don't.

Titans showing an interest in Trevion Williams, a 6-8 C attending Detroit Henry Ford. Recently moved into the state from Chicago. He already has DePaul and Xavier offers.

I liked that Coach Ray went after Cassius Winston, Deyonta Davis, and Jaylen Johnson. I hope all the top guys in the state are getting offers from U of D. Can't hurt.

Looks like TK is setting up some unofficial visits. Any significance in the fact that Detroit isn't on his unofficial visit list? I know they aren't official visits, and he could still visit Detroit, but he did have Oakland and Akron there.
Brendan F. Quinn β@bfquinn 16h16 hours ago 2018 PF Thomas Kithier (Macomb, MI) tells @mlive he's setting up unofficial visits to Michigan State, Michigan, Oakland, Akron and DePaul.
