As this is the marquee home game on our schedule, I thought we might start a thread on topics related to this team and the December 13 contest. Hopefully, the program will market this one as a real event and the fans will be rewarded with a big crowd and hopefully a Titan win. CBS Sports posted this article on the Shockers today, asking who they would follow up after two great seasons. Worth noting: Per this article, prior to this recent run of 3 NCAA tourneys in four years, the Shockers had not been to the Big Dance since 1988. If there isn't a big crowd for this one I'll be highly annoyed. I've been looking forward to this game as soon as I found out we were playing them in that braketbusters game...Can't wait! Plus I'm glad it's on a Saturday.

Plus I'm glad it's on a Saturday. I'm still annoyed by the sparse crowd we had when top twenty Miss State came to Calihan for what turned out to be a very exciting game. I think we'll make up for it with the game against the Shockers. Go Titans. |

We were actually in the sweet 16 in 2006 and though not the NCAA we won the NIT in 2011. We won't underestimate an opponent as we didn't even as we were undefeated last year. Gregg Marshall feeds our team on proving that they are worth it as we always have a bunch of doubters if WSU is the real deal. Best of luck! I hope for a good game. |

Wichita State is picked #13 in the nation by Lindy's Sports College Basketball Preview. They are an overwhelming favorite to win the conference championship again.
Fred Van Vleet is predicted to be the MVC Player of the Year. Shocker Ron Baker is listed as best NBA prospect in the conference.
