Case in point: Samford loses players to NC State and Arizona.

Sign of the times: Chris Mack's first commitment as coach at Louisville is a grad transfer from Samford.
Yeah, Samford has lost players to NC State, Arizona, and Louisville.

Couple of more mid major feeling the grad transfer hit:
Eric Lockett of Florida International (who started his career at George Mason) is transferring to NC State for his final year. He averaged 14 points per game for FIU.
Matt Mooney, who averaged 18 ppg for South Dakota this past season, is transferring to Texas Tech.

Sit one/play two for Jefferson is more logical than the grad transfer after 3 yrs that was on the forum earlier.

A couple of "up" mid major transfers haven't had good luck at their new high major destinations.
Miles Wilson, who transferred from Mount St. Mary's to Miami after averaging 12 points per game as a freshman for The Mount, was dismissed from the Hurricanes today. The program released a statement saying he had "failed to meet program expectations". Wilson sat out last year and was enrolled in school this Fall, so he'll feel the impact on his five year eligibility window. He probably won't get another high major opportunity, though.
Michael Weathers was suspended by OK State after being arrested for Larceny. Weathers averaged 17 points and five assists per game as a freshman at Miami, OH two years ago.
Of course, these guys might have gotten in trouble no matter what level they played at, but mid major guys should remember these cases (along with players like Mark Alstork and Darius Paul) and remember that the grass isn't always greener.

That's basically what Chris Jenkins did, isn't it? I think kids maybe do that when the realize after practices have begun that they're not cutting it where they are. Does seem like he may as well stick around for the semester.

Junior forward/center Micah Potter is transferring form Ohio State. The 6-9 Potter is from Mentor, Ohio and saw his playing time shrink as a sophomore. He could actually be a Titan target: His best game last year was a 17 point outing against Texas Southern, and Detroit is four hours away from his hometown.
