Good schedule. Maybe a little tougher than I would have liked. It is indeed a tough schedule -- other than the two non-DI opponents, there are no breathers. But I like it, in part because there are no sacrificial lamb games either- every one of those games, including the guarantee games at Pitt and Vandy, are winnable. I can see us coming out of December 9-2, or 2-9. We're going to have to play consistently good ball, stay focused, close out games. Though I don't know the contract terms, the road games at Western Kentucky and Eastern Michigan look like the start of a promising 2016-17 home schedule, too. I also give the staff credit - this is the earliest I recall the schedule being out in a long time. And I still like the way the released it over a couple weeks.

CBS predicts Vandy for 4th in the SEC, and an NCAA tournament team.

Vanderbilt released its schedule today. They are in Hawaii Nov. 23-25, with 3 games in 3 days against other high majors, starting with St. John's and including possibly Kansas and Indiana. They get a whole week off before they play us Dec. 2, but if we're lucky maybe they'll still be a bit out of sorts, and looking ahead to their Dec. 6 game with Baylor in the Big 12/SEC challenge.

Mildly interesting coincidence that Western Michigan is also playing at Vandy this year.

I wonder if we will schedule any exhibition games this year.

I wonder if we will schedule any exhibition games this year. I think the NCAA allows a non-public scrimmage with another D-1 team in lieu of an exhibition game. Not like we draw many fans to the exhibition games anyway, so perhaps it's time to go with just one such match, coupled with a scrimmage. Having at least one exhibition game is a good dress rehearsal not only for the team but also the box office staff, ushers, security, concessions, Titan Club Room, cheerleaders, band, announcers, stat crew, parking lot attendants, etc. I would guess we'll hear something soon, more than likely a continuation of the status quo and two exhibition games. I asked Coach Ray about our exhibition games a couple weeks ago and for some reason he seemed reluctant to offer any info.

Full league schedule is out - see the first page of this thread for Titan schedule.
We open Horizon play with 5 straight home games. We'll need a fast start. We close conference play with 4 straight on the road, including a season finale at OU.

Looking further, our last two games are at Valpo and at Oakland. Those two are pretty much the consensus picks this year for 1st and 2nd place. So if we are at all in a position to win the league going into the last week of the season, there's a good chance we'll be in a position to determine our own fate.

Losses at Vandy, Pitt and WKU, possibly to Northeastern at home or Oral Roberts on the road. Of course, seasons are rarely so formlaic.

I have a feeling we're going to get one of those three games, Vandy, Pitt, or WKU. We're due.

DePaul plays a closed scrimmage at Detroit this Saturday. I hope that is a forerunner to getting DePaul on the regular season schedule for a H&H.
