I was in attendance for Ypsi's game tonight against Saline, and saw Corey put on a great performance in a 49-22 win. I don't know what his final numbers were, but he dominated the game, as usual.
Next up, Ypsi once again faces my old team, Lincoln High School, on Friday in the district playoffs.

They've blown Lincoln out twice already this season. Ypsi's strengths fit perfectly against Lincoln's weaknesses. Bad match up for the Railsplitters. Saline ended the regulars season 10-9.

Corey Allen and Ypsi moving nicely through state tournament? Did you attend Belleville game last night? Yes, I was at the game. The game was played at my old high school, Lincoln, which is located basically right between Ypsi and Belleville. The gym was PACKED, not so much because of Corey, but because both teams are good this year and the fans bases are very supportive. The opening game was Ann Arbor Pioneer vs Woodhaven, and a lot of those fans hung around for the nightcap. The parking lot was overflowing, and the crowd was standing room only. I tell you, I never played in front of a crowd that big when I was at Lincoln. Corey looked good, as usual. Scored from long range, mid range, at the rim, and in transition. As always, he set the tone for the team. Ypsilanti will miss him next year. Belleville had the athletes to compete with Ypsilanti, but not the poise or skill. Lots of talent on the floor last night. highschoolsports.mlive.com/news/article/-8218613509305448232/corey-allens-30-lifts-ypsilanti-over-belleville-67-43-in-regional-semifinal/

Nice piece. Gotta admit, I cringe when I see a post in this thread, wondering if it is bad news.

Commish, here is that bad news you were worried about. Per social media, Allen is transferring. I think most observers would join me in being totally unsurprised.

It is hard to overstate what a disaster the short reign of Bacari Alexander has been.

It is hard to overstate what a disaster the short reign of Bacari Alexander has been. Outside of actually setting Calihan Hall on fire, it is hard to imagine how he could do worse than he has.
