It appears that our connected leaks on campus have dried up! BTW, how did Chris Barnes visit go last Friday? There's been no further mention of it on social media. We don't know if he committed or if an offer was even made. Players who are still available need to make decisions soon if they want to actually attend School's in the Fall..

Commissioner - no Utah. Hearing that Utah wouldn't sign because they read hyperion's post about a mystery big man. C'mon MBM! Show thyself! Heard he has not yet arrived on campus. Was finishing up some games with his international team. Comes from a land far away. I have no idea who the MBM is. "Land far away" and "finishing up some games with his international team" - wild guess time: Sounds like Australia & their 17u team is currently finishing up games in the Oceania championship. Looking at the roster for a 7' player, I'll guess Lucas Schmidt (disclaimer: there is a 0.01% chance of this being correct, but I couldn't resist trying) www.fiba.basketball/oceania/u17/2019/player/Lucas-Schmidt

Africa. I don’t know a name, but hear that’s where the MBM comes from.

Your player had better stats in the same tourney (He was named to the 5 man all tourney team) - so better for us if he's the man. He didn't play in the tournament I did the research on. Overall, if we've narrowed it down to 2 players, so we've done good!

I get the feeling that many people on the Board know the identity of the MBM and they are keeping it secret but giving just enough clues so my stubborn dumb a** can come up with the name. I'm figuring, based on the clues and being led like a blind man, that the answer must be Aly Abdelrahman (Wiz) Khalifa & my 1st guess of Mahmoud Hassan Noureldin must be incorrect.
This is my last post on the topic

Like you said, he had some nice offers.

A blurb I found about Aly Khalifa from last summer. He was at the NBA Global Academy, which is described as "an elite basketball training center at BA’s Centre of Excellence at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra. The NBA Global Academy will serve as the NBA’s global hub for top international male and female prospects from around the world. Up to twelve elite student-athletes attend The NBA Global Academy each year. They train under the supervision of NBA-trained coaches and in collaboration with BA’s internationally recognized coaches and Centre of Excellence teams." : Aly Khalifa, 16, is in the NBA academy with Clarke after he was scouted playing for the Egyptian national team last year. "I've been here six months and it's very good here, better than Egypt in basketball and school," Khalifa said. "When I came here at the beginning I was not speaking English a lot but I stayed at it and speak it well now. "I want to go to college and I hope the NBA, it's always been the dream. But my dream first of all is to get a scholarship and next dream is the NBA."
