Saw a tweet yesterday hyping Daniel Friday from UDJ -- if click on the link below there's some of his highlights in there. You can see he is athletic and has hops for a guard. We offered him, but without a coaching staff I wouldn't think we are making progress in signing him
Dan Friday impressed once again at Adidas Chicago regional qualifier this weekend. One of the best under the radar guards in the Midwest and perhaps the country. @danielfriday_ @reachlegends

I hope our new staff (whenever it arrives) makes the UDJ program a priority on the recruiting circuit. Friday seems like a guy whose stock is rising quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if he was someone that former Titan Coach McCallum was looking at during his recent visit to UDJ.

6'3 Southfield Christian guard Harlond Beverly was offered today Southfield Christian's Harlond Beverly's stock has skyrocketed in a year's time. 11 months ago he had two offers, us and Oral Roberts. Today he is considered a top 75 prospect nationally, with offers from Michigan State, Baylor, Ohio State, Michigan State and Xavier, among others. He's taking unofficial visits to Louisville and Ohio State this weekend. Harlond Beverly picks up an offer from La Salle.

Wow - what a crazy fall off in talent in this 2019 class, its Watts/Weems and everyone else. A quick dive into the various players shows some being borderline D1, while the rest have largely midmajor'ish/low major offers.
I know Jalen Thomas has a Xavier offer, but I just don't see him at that level yet. He's still not comfortable in his tall frame, but I think people like the idea he has potential if he ties it all together. We shall see.
Long story short...the state of MI will not be where we will stock our roster for 2019, so will be interesting where Davis looks around.

Harlond Beverly was the other top 100 prospect, but he's leaving the state for a prep school. Terry Armstrong also is top 100 with a bunch of power 5 offers, but he left the state 2 years ago for prep academies. MHSAA needs to do some rethinking if they don't want the state to become a recruiting backwater.

I do like quite a few of these top ten, and I'd like to get to Pioneer to see one of Lowder's games, but having looked at this class for a bit now I'm not overly impressed. Also, interesting to note that Watts was crystal balled a week ago to Florida State. If he leaves the state that would be the first time since 2014 both of the top two players in the state attend college out of state.

Rocket Watts picked up an offer from LSU. I really have to make time to see this kid play this year.
On another 2019 note, I look forward to seeing some new offers popping up for 2019 and beyond as Davis and his staff get rolling.

Rocket Watts picked up an offer from LSU. I really have to make time to see this kid play this year. I liked Rocket from day one. I hope the day will come when can compete for that level of recruit again. None of Verbal Commits, Rivals, or ESPN list any offers or even kids being recruited byTex So to the Class of '19, so we can't make any guesses or predictions from that.

I see him listed as a 2018 and a 2019 graduate. You are correct. I don't have the time to research it right now - could he be attending prep school this upcoming year?? The most recent info lists him with the class of 2019. At any rate, he appears to have a relationship with father and son Davis. I wonder if this offer could persuade him to commit right now as part of the class of 2018.
