Pierre Brooks offered. Detroit Fredrick Douglass guard (Note he mentions "and staff" in the tweet. All the Chicken Littles who are panicking need not fear, staff is in place)

Isaiah Barnes, a 6-5 guard from outside Chicago, reportedly had a school visit "in Michigan" this week. So far as I can find publicly, we're the only school in Michigan that is recruiting him. He has offers from Loyola, Miami, and others.

Last year, Prep Hoops wrote of him: "excellent size and plus athleticism at the two guard spot. Right now he plays best in an up and down game. He handles it well in the open floor and makes slick passes. Finishes above the rim. Defensively he contests shots and competes. Projects as a quality defender. Definitely a 2021 to track in Illinois." Prep Hoops ranks him #223 nationally in the sophomore class. (By way of perspective, a couple other guards we've reportedly offered from that class: Pierre Brooks #102, Isaiah Barnes #144; Simon Wheeler #225. Brooks and Barnes are probably real stretches for us.) Some sources rate him higher. One scouting report says: "This was our first time viewing Gibson and we left impressed. The 6’3 guard already has a solid, strong frame and is likely to grow more. Attacked the hoop relentlessly. Rebounded very well. Very good feel for the game as well as good court vision for such a young age."

Sipple was honorable mention all-state last year as a freshman. He is also an all-state quarterback in football.
