They are actually having an introductory press conference for Ball at Spire this morning. I have the feeling that situation is going to end up being a circus.

I can't see him being eligible to play in college. Not only has he been a pro, but he's been out of school for a year. I doubt he meets NCAA clearinghouse qualifications.

Just read on Twitter that Jack B is transferring to LIU-Brooklyn. For what it's worth, I checked the LIU-Brooklyn roster on their official site, and Jack's not on it. Might not mean anything; not every school lists players who are redshirting on their official roster. However, I looked back at their articles and didn't see anything about him signing. But I haven't heard anything else about him.

Guess I should have waited a day before making that comment. :-)
I wonder what took so long for that to become official.

Glad that Jack Ballentyne is out of J3's shadow. I thought he had decent potential, but seemed to only hold himself back by not making a move sooner.

So JJ Jr and Jack Ballantyne continue to stay together I don't know anything about the coaching situation there, but if they have a good coach and listen to him, they could do well. I think both Jack and J3 have the potential to do very well at the mid major level. I know that the 2017-18 season was rough on them for a variety of reasons, but JJJ in particular showed a lot of promise for a freshman. I am sure that the players would say yes, but I wonder, in retrospect, was it worth transferring? LIU was fifth in the NEC last year, going 16-16 overall and 9-9 in conference. I guess it comes down to whether you would rather play at home for Mike Davis or in New York away from family and friends for LIU Coach Derek Kellogg. Of course, there are lots of other factors that could be in play, but I feel like both guys would have been successful here had they been willing to put in the work.

LIU has a good coach and is a pretty solid program for its level, but I doubt that's where JJ or JJJ expected the latter to end up.
