The Wall Street Journal has it's college rankings out for 968 undergraduate institutions that report data to the federal government (most of those that don't are small religious schools. However, there are a few schools of some regional or national note that don't report, including Hillsdale, Grove City, and Liberty). I'm not going to get into the criteria and weighting they use (obviously subjective), and of course there are zillion things for students to consider (like majors, geography, preferred environment, and size to name a few) so that really, it doesn't make a ton of sense to reduce it all to one ranking. But that said, here are its rankings for the Horizon and then for Michigan. UD comes out a very credible 193 nationally. Schools above 500 are put in groups, but I've ranked them as iit appears most likely they'd be ranked, based on the Journals specific criteria, if the Journal had put them in order (though this requires some guessing).

We need a better conference not just for sports, but for academics. It would be nice to be in with MAAC schools, or better still, schools like Bucknell.
