Most of all, we want the Titans to win--and it's been a while now, with just 1 winning season (barely, at 16-15) in the last 6. But after that, I also like to watch individual Titans hit various milestones and individual achievements. Here are some from the 2019 season. As you might (meaning, "would surely") guess, most belong to Antoine Davis.
1. Antoine Davis recorded most 3 point baskets for a freshman in NCAA history (and of course, therefore, in Titan history).
2. Davis finished 3rd in nation in scoring, and top scoring underclassman. That is the highest a Titan has ever finished in the NCAA record book, and first Titan to crack the top 10 since Rashad Phillips finished 6th in both 2000 and 2001.
3. Davis set Titan record for points in a season by a freshman with 784--and in fact had the 2d most ever in Titan history, missing Rashad Phillips' 2001 record by 1 point.
4. Davis's 26.1 points per game was the 4th highest ever for a Titan, and the highest since Spencer Haywood's team record 32.1 in 1969.. Davis became the 7th Titan to lead the Horizon/MCC in scoring, the first since Ray McCallum in 2013.
5. Davis's 48 points against Wright State were the second most in Titan history.
6. Davis's .857 free throw percentage was the 7th best in Titan history
7. Davis became the fifteenth Titan to be named first team all Horizon/MCC (those 15 players have made the 1st team 20 times total).
8. Davis became the 8th Titan to win HL Freshman/Newcomer of the Year (the 5th to win it as a freshman). The Titans have had 4 Freshmen of the Year in the past decade, which makes it all the more disappointing that we have just 5 winning seasons in that time.
9. Davis won HL Freshman of the Week 7 times. I don't know if anyone has ever won it that many times in a season, but the Horizon doesn't seem to keep this info online.
10. Davis won HL Player of the Week twice. He's the first Titan to win twice in a season since Nick Minnerath in 2013.
11. Josh McFolley won HL Player of the week. This is the first time since 2013 (Minnerath and Ray McCallum) that two Titans have won it in the same season.
12. McFolley finished 1st in Titan history in career steals.
13. McFolley finished 15th in Titan history in total points.
14. McFolley finished 3rd in Titan history in three point field goals made.
15. McFolley finished 11th in Titan history in career free throw percentage.
16. McFolley finished 8th in Titan history in games played.
17. Darrien King's .863 free throw percentage was the 6th best in Titan history
18. Gerald Blackshear's .679 FG percentage would be the best in Titan history, except he did not take enough shots to qualify. The record stays with Ryvon Covile.
