Here's a familiar name from last offseason (also, another name from last offseason, Damon Harge is still available)

If we're just tossing out names... Jaedon Ledee, a 6-9 freshman center at Ohio State, is transferring. Played in 26 games, started 2, averaged 3 points, 1.7 rebounds in about 6 minutes per game. I mention him because he's from Houston, so presumably Coach has some familiarity with him and HS and AAU coaches. Was a 4 star in HS. His best game was against Fort Wayne--16 points, 4 rebounds in 13 minutes. He also had 16 points in a game against Purdue. Ledee to TCU

Derrik Smits is leaving Valpo. I remember when he committed there, as a "3-star" 7 footer it was a big deal. He never quite lived up to expectations, but he's been good. My guess is he will want to go higher major--I don't know why else he would leave Valpo, as he'll get PT next year, there's no coaching change, and Valpo is a good situation for a mid-major-- and someone will want a 7 foot grad transfer who averaged 12ppg/6rpg in the MVC I read he will be declaring for the NBA draft, but may withdraw and transfer after the evaluation period Smits to Butler

As posted in the 2018 recruiting thread, since he was a member of that class and we offered him: PG Brandon Wade, from Ann Arbor Skyline, is also transferring from Duquense. Modest stats and playing time from his freshman season www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/brandon-wade-1.htmlWill be announcing soon. I'm not aware if we are/aren't pursuing him, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyways. He can serve his "sit out" year while a grad transfer plays the guard position. Then he's ready to take over the following season. Brandon Wade was offered during the Bacari era, but he committed to Duquesne in October 2017. Would not surprise me if he ends up at Oakland.

I wonder if Wade doesn't go to Holy Cross to play with his brother.

Anderson committed to Albany. Thanks for posting this. I've had interest in JoJo since last year at this time. Davis had him committed at TSU as a transfer from Northern Arizona, where he put up good numbers. You figure Davis, with so many holes to fill and a prior relationship with JoJo would have brought him here, but I guess not...

Two interesting transfers from the Chicago area today
6'6 G/W Sam Shafer from SIU. He will have 4 years to play and should be able to play immediately ( waiver status is pending). Shooter with size and is a solid athlete as well, and
Iowa redshirt junior guard Isaiah Moss, who would be a graduate transfer. Immediately eligible. EDIT:Nevermind on Moss - there was actually real consideration given to him entering the NBA draft (which he did not), so he's not going to the Horizon League

Thinking about doing a post grad year if the right opportunity doesn't present itself, but the time to lock up a raw but developing big man is before he blows up

DePaul might actually be interested in him, as he is a Chicago kid who would fit a need for a veteran guard and he's a good college three point shooter.

Random speculation based on miscellaneous social media activity...
Brian Carey, Guard, Oklahoma Christian -- entered the transfer portal, 1 year left, started his career at Texas Southern under Coach Davis; Averaged 25 mins and 8.3 pts per game
Demarcus Morris, wing, Barton Community College - seems to be eyeing a move to a D1 school, from Houston and perhaps knows Davis family from there; 10 mins a game in his first year at CC level
Jordan Gilliam, UC Riverside and transferring - another Houston connection, started a bunch of games to start the season before perhaps an injury caused playing time to fall off; average 19 mins, 7 pts and 3 boards per game
But really, who the heck knows, just casting a net out there among players that seem to know the Davis family from the Texas days.

I've had my eye on Carey. He's on the quickly shrinking list of uncommitted players I've been following. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a Titan next year

Good stuff, TTH. Thanks for putting that together. If nothing else, it gives us something to talk about and some players to track.

Some way out there speculation as I ponder the mystery big men. The Citadel had a 6'9" freshman last season from Romania named Dimitri Georgiadis. He played a few games and was redshirted. He would have 4 years of eligibility left. He transferred out of the Citadel and reportedly was going to State Fair CC next season (the home of signee LeGrand and offeree Coleman). However, except for a tweet by verbal commits, nothing else has been said about Georgiadis to State Fair CC and he wasn't listed on their 1st press release of signings. I've also seen speculation connecting him with other D1 programs that has fallen through due to other players being signed. I know nothing more except he's a freshman, he's tall and he's foreign (plus I'm bored waiting/searching for more info). So there you go, idle speculation as to who the mystery big man freshman could be

Some more pure speculation on a player that I wouldn't mind seeing us land. DePaul center George Maslennikov is transferring. George is a native of the Ukraine and is listed at 6-10, 234. As a freshman at DePaul he didn't play much at all, only scoring nine points all season, but he was playing behind some legit Big East players. DePaul added him late for the class of 2018, and he was kind of an add in to the class as insurance. His high school career would indicate a solid contributor on the mid major level. He reportedly had offers from Mercer and Florida Gulf Coast. 24/7 ranked him as a three star recruit. I think a red shirt year would do him good and he could pay off in a big way in 2020-21. He played high school ball in Atlanta before going to Chicago to attend DePaul. Not sure where he is thinking of landing, but he's worth at least a long look. 247sports.com/Player/George-Maslennikov-46049959/high-school-208969/www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4397056/george-maslennikov

Maybe we can't come up with the 7'+ grad transfer because he's right in front of us. Crazy speculation that I'm not necessarily endorsing: what if it's Malik Eichler? He was rumored to be a good student. What if he completed requirements for his degree in three years (this past year he was at Madonna) and was now eligible to return as a grad transfer? That would explain why he's not in verbal commits database or even on our radar. Again just a crazy thought that popped into my head while I'm waiting for a press release...
