I don't think are university needs to get wrapped up into this conflict. We are suppose to be a Jesuit University. I don't think the faculty members should be trying to harm people's business in the community no matter what there believes are. If you don't like it just don't go there it is as simple as that. Everyone doesn't have the same views or believes but we need to be able to live civilly next to each other. I also hope we can put are differences aside to work together to accomplish are goals.

Agreed, but the University can’t really limit the speech of adjunct faculty on their own time. It’s one guy, a part-timer, not the university “getting involved.” Historically, one of the great things about the market is that it is where people put political and cultural differences aside to trade in peace, for each other’s mutual benefit. People like Amir Zahr count on the fact that nobody will do to them what they are trying to do to others. Amir would no doubt feel much aggrieved if colleges and universities decided to boycott him for teaching jobs because of his views on the conflict in the Middle East. Sport is another area that used to bring us together but which is being ruined by the intrusion of politics.
