Attendance: 2020: Finals: 1861 Semi-Finals: 1923 2019: Finals: 5612 Semi-Finals: 5280 Remember all that bitching from fans around the league about holding the tournament in Detroit... I've got an explanation for these numbers. With sporting events putting out press releases announcing the closing of their doors to all except players, coaches, essential staff and in some cases family members, apparently the Horizon League was ahead of the game on this one (for the 1st time ever) and did this for their tournament and Detroit just never received the press release since we weren't eligible. That explains why no other teams are complaining - they all knew about it😁

Horizon League attendance for its semfinals and finals of its tournament will be greater than attendance at Big Ten and ACC tourneys combined.

So, now we root for UIC to beat NKU and win the play-in at Dayton. $$$$$$$$$ Of course, right now Lunardi has NKU in the worst position--a 16th seed but without a play-in game. Lunardi's "final" bracket had NKU as a 15 seed

I'm in no way trying to joke about this situation, but I'm glad now our men's team couldn't play

That suggests one or more officials tested positive. The HL and MAAC have the same coordinator of officials, Mike Kitts.
Courtney Green worked an America East tourney game the night after he officiated the UIC - Wright State game. Mike Kitts worked two MAAC tourney games the next two days after he also worked the UIC-Wright State game. The third ref in that game, Andy O'Brien also worked the same two MAAC games as Kitts.
Rob Riley, one of the officials in the NKU-GB semifinal game worked an America East tourney game the next day.

O'Brien officiated the March 7th game in the A-East that is mentioned in the MAAC press release linked in the tweet. If there is a second official involved, then it has to be Kitts.
