Fast start. Very important. Bacari was hired on April 21--18 days later in the year, not terribly long but two and a half weeks that really matter at this time of year (and did so more then with the greater importance of the April signing period). Davis wasn't hired until June 13 ten weeks later, an eternity in college hoops time, and I think a real disadvantage. The proof will be in the pudding, but at least we got the job done this time with reasonable promptness, and Coach Monty is hopping right to it. His past experience with the Titans may help.

Miles Mitchell went to Warren Lincoln, which just won the D2 state title. They had some good players on their roster. Also, Is Lamata Stone the "coach Stone" in question? He's got a 2024 son who can ball from Renny. He's undersized, though. Having a really good former HS coach on staff would be a plus in my book. I've made it clear, Michigan kids or I am not interested.

The Titans have offered Nathan Johnson, a 6-6 wing from Grand Rapids Christian.

The Titans have offered Nathan Johnson, a 6-6 wing from Grand Rapids Christian. Didnt necessarily impress at the Breslin last month... but he certainly has the build of a quality D1 player.

Grand Rapids Christian’s coach played in Europe with Coach Montgomery, they also have a 2024 who is 6’9 Who also looks like a take. I would gather given the amount of walk ons From last season‘s coach probably needs to find 10+ players even if a lot of those walk on’s come back

I thought maybe we would get some commits announced today but I guess Vowels and his Crew are still there!

Highlight tape for Okoro. Athletic, but looks like a developmental player.

I thought maybe we would get some commits announced today but I guess Vowels and his Crew are still there! I liked hearing that we were expecting multiple recruits on campus this week, and I have been watching Twitter and other sources to see if we get some good news. Haven't seen anything yet, but it's early, and a lot depends on where those individuals were in their recruiting process. Did they have other visits scheduled? Did they impress Coach Monty and staff during their visits? It appears Monty has hit the ground running, and I hope to see some player additions soon, along with some current players retained.

Only the players can announce their commitments. We can only announce signed NLI's after we have received them. I heard that we had about 10 players over the weekend and that Taylor was there to meet with and talk to them and some of their parents. Tomorrow is the first day a player can sign an NLI. Since we have not signed many high school players in the past 6 years, we may be rusty on the rules.
