I assume he might want to go beyond the “Horizon,” but if he just wants to get away from Kampe, perhaps a prospect for the Titans? UDM was one of the first schools to offer Parrish when he was at River Rouge High School.

Do you think it's just a coincidence that this is announced shortly after Stephens' formal introduction at WMU? Parrish could go there and be "the man" for 3 years. Wouldn't be surprised if Johns ends up there, too.

I don’t think Parrish ever committed to the Titans, he did initially enroll at a junior college so perhaps grades were an issue.

It's officially Cleveland State day in the portal (I have a feeling our day is coming soon)

Tre Gomillion to Missouri. They've already got D'Andre Gholston, and so should be really competitive in the Horizon League next year.

I thought maybe I'd try to size up where various HL teams stand looking at next year. Let's start with regular season champ Cleveland State.
Cleveland State now has 8 players in the portal; of the other roster players, I believe that Patton, Finstuen, and Nathaniel Jack are out of eligibility. I believe--though I'm not sure--that Craig Beaudion and Al Eichelberger could play another year after injury red-shirting this past year. Would they? It would be Eichelberger's 7th year in college, and he'll be 25 years old when the season starts. Beaudion is more likely to return but it will be his 6th year in college, and he'll be 24. Eichelberger has been beat up for the last two years. I think both are presumed gone, though I don't know that either has made an announcement.
Of course, some people in the portal could return. Still, but absent that, by my reckoning, they would anticipate back Deante Johnson Yahel Hill DeShon Parker Jason Woodrich Ben Sternberg (walk on) Cole Middleton (red-shirted freshman last year)
They also still have two verbal commits, from point guard Daniel Young, and shooting guard Ramar Pryor. Neither were hot recruits, but nor were such Dennis Gates recruits as Tre Gomillion.
If Eichelberger and Beaudion come back (and Big Al can be effective, so it's two big "ifs" with Big Al), they've still got the makings of a competitive lineup. But my understanding--hardly a 100% correct thing-- is that both plan to graduate and move on. If Beaudion stays--20% chance??--there's still a reasonable competitive lineup there with Beaudion, Parker, Hill, Middleton, and Johnson, and Woodrich off the bench.

D'Moi Hodge joins Gates in Missouri. Should be an interesting experiment: The Horizon League All-Stars vs. the SEC.
