Gotta love Mike Davis Jr.. listening to him at halftime where he is talking about lack of effort by our team and how they work harder in their warmup than we do in practice and games. I can’t help but think what is he doing to earn his check? What he is saying is what we watched against Wyoming and Toledo and we didn’t recruit these guys and we are not coaching them. Looks like I am going to save a lot of money this year. I would cancel my subscription to ESPN + but I am enjoying watching Corey Allen and Eastern. Twice we have bragged about the defensive experts we are bringing in to shore up our D and it looks like we have failed twice.

Another blowout embarrassing loss. I didn’t watch the game, but you only need to look at the box score for about 7 seconds to know that we played no defense and didn’t protect the basketball on offense.
Now I’ll wait to hear from the oldtimers that refuse to accept reality. I’m sure they will be quick to point out that good Ol’ U of D played great between 17:53-15:21 during the second half. Or, how the elevation of 103 feet in NYC was a factor.

Don’t forget Mole, you predicted this Titan team to win 20 games and finish second in the Horizon, perhaps a sign of your refusal to accept reality.

Akec and Oduro are the weak links on defense. Akec's stats hide more missed defensive assignments than points scored. No excuse for Oduro not getting any rebounds today. Well Hofstra didn't miss many shots; so there weren't many rebounds to get. I guess they thought they'd still get their minutes with so many players unavailable to play. And Akec was right. Oduro guessed wrong. Willy was a better defender even though Prince is stronger, more athletic and more talented. After a step forward last week at Louisville, we took two steps backwards today. Extremely disappointing play in the first half.

But, at least I’m not as dumb as those of you who financially support this shit show. Whatevs, I’ll watch my other alma mater play - at least they can be in top half of D1 teams and not give up 50 points in a half.

Besides, ND has billions of dollars, a great brand, national recruiting ability, a national fan base, etc., and has still missed the Big Dance five of the last eight years. I know, I know, next year is REALLY going to be the year; you keep telling us. But hey, if you're happy with just being in the top half of D1 with all of those advantages, resources, etc., more power to you. Congratulations.

Mens hoops is hard at ND bc not many top 100 guys want to go to a school where they’ll always take a back seat to football. And of the ones who would even consider, how many of them can handle ND academically? Bc of that, ND is only going to get a great recruiting class every 3 or 4 years. Irish hoops is conferring 7 degrees this spring. How many D1 teams do that? There’s still time for this year’s senior class to prove their worth, but if not, like you said, next year is the start of something big. ND is also competing in soccer right now, and hockey. It’s hard running an institution where everyone is expected to be the best in everything.
All I ask is for Detroit Mercy to stop embarrassing itself! How Vowels keeps getting away with this disaster is beyond me. But, you guys keep sending your checks in!

I'm angry and disappointed, but I just don't have the energy to pile on. This is a sad situation for the fans, the players - for everyone. We can't be as bad as we've shown.
I guess at this point, the goal should be to get healthy and eligible for Conference play and to fix the defense. The Conference looks weak. It may seem like a longshot, but I guess we'll find out if this group of players and coaches has any fight left.

I have always felt Norte Dame is by far the most overrated athletic programs and nothing else is even a close second. Cincinnati is really happy that ND scheduled them it gives them a chance to play for a National Championship and there is no way they are one of the top 4 football teams. But if the pollsters want to give ND a chance they have to put the Bearcats there so they can sit ND in 5 or 6 and pray for a miracle. ND will probably replace Cinci with the Coast Guard Academy. The best thing about Notre Dame is that they are close to Bonnie Doons.

If you guys are kicking the Mole because he thought the Titans would win 20 you can kick me too because I would have picked them to have 20+ wins. I was fooled by all the excitement of all the great players we had coming in who were not that good where they were coming from.

Thanks, up. I also bought into the hype. Heck, I really wanted to believe this year would be different. Of course, if I had picked the Titans to have a losing season then the donor fans who don’t accept reality would be saying I’m just a troll and really never wanted the team to win anyway.

How Vowels keeps getting away with this disaster is beyond me. But, you guys keep sending your checks in! Yeah, poor Notre Dame. All the odds are stacked against them. All those great players don't want to play at a football school. Guess that's why those football first schools like Texas, Michigan, Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida State, Alabama, Ohio State, and Auburn made the tournament last year and were picked in the Top 25 this season, too. How does Juwan Howard keep getting those recruits in a program that doesn't sell out basketball games but gets over 100,000 every home game for football? Here's you on this board at 7:33 PM on April 11, 2020: "Notre Dame shaping up to be VERY good in 2021-2022. It will be the senior season for their best ever recruiting class (4 top 100 players out of HS) and some key transfers (Cormac Ryan from Stanford and now Wertz)." Elsewhere you said ND was "easily" a tourney team in 2021-22. The Irish are currently 3-2 with losses to St. Mary's and Texas A&M. Now it's "next year is the start of something big". Keep moving the goalposts, Mole. And be honest, you don't want the Titans to do better. You like running the program down too much to want that. You started on this board with a burner profile and a straight up lie about Rick Pitino. You're not a fan. You're a chaos agent.

I was fooled by all the excitement of all the great players we had coming in who were not that good where they were coming from. I didn't respond to mole because he picked the Titans to win 20. I responded because he said other people on the board were "dumb" and and "refused to accept reality". Lots of people expected more from the team than we've seen so far. Nothing wrong with being disappointed. I wasn't as confident as some people, but I didn't expect these struggles. Today was especially disappointing after decent showings against Louisville and Mississippi State.
