Figured we needed a thread for this, instead of posting results in old off topic threads.
As I type this, the Lady Titans are 0-13, with two forfeits included in those losses. They've hung tough and shown heart in most games, and dropped a heartbreaker to UIC in overtime on December 4.
Leading scorer is Sydney Searcy, who averages 11 points per game.
The Ladies are in action against Fort Wayne this afternoon.

Looked promising as they were up 7 points with four minutes left, but fall to Purdue Fort Wayne by 5 points.

Sydney Searcy getting hurt late in the game along with 3 rotation players that did not make the trip did them in. You could almost see them waiting for the roof to fall in late in the game. Each game they lose late makes it harder to win that first one. I am sure Sylare Starks enjoyed beating her old school. She started for Fort Wayne and finished with 11 points. I still like this team. Once they get one win it will do wonders to get the monkey off their back.

I think they stopped playing their game in the final minutes and that cost them the game. They should've kept driving. I really like this team. They play hard, they have talent.

Losing Sydney Searcy to injury certainly hurts this team.

The Lady Titan fell to Wright State today 72-56. Detroit played a tough first half, and had a 27-25 lead at the break. The Raiders got a 10-0 run to start the second half and took control. Washington was high scorer with 14. Trawally Porta had eight points and a career high 10 rebounds.

Losing Sydney Searcy to injury certainly hurts this team. Sydney was on crutches today and putting very little weight on her bad foot. Looks like she will be out for at least a few more games including both OU games. Tough break. Not only is she our scorer, but an extremely quick defender on the perimeter. She would have caused the Wright State guards nightmares yesterday.

Pretty trenchant tweet that quantifies the longer-term fallout of the two prior hiring mistakes. I guess this is the bottom for that program. We can't go negative on W's can we?

No, we cannot go negative, but we should be providing support to the staff to make sure we do not stay where we are. We have the personal and some talent to start the long climb out of the hole. We have to give them the title and tools to do so.

I still think we should show some moxie and inform Tony Paul and his employer that he is no longer allowed on campus or will he ever be given any information or interviews. We have nothing to loose here and everything to gain.

Titans lose again against Oakland, 66-62. Margin was 30 points a couple days ago. As I was leaving the Orena Thursday I was wondering how the team would respond to the 30-point loss. It was to a rival and they had less than than 40 hours to prepare for the rematch. They got routed by 30, had an 0-17 record and 3 players in street clothes including one on crutches. It didn't look good. Walking into Calihan and seeing the same 3 in street clothes I had low expectations. I was in for a surprise! Give Coach Collins and her staff credit. With a good game plan and adjustments on both offense and defense they played as a team and had a chance to tie the game with 20 seconds left. That was with the referee crews doing them no favors. This team overcame a lot of adversity and deserve a win. This against the same team that ran them out of the gym two days ago. Unfortunately, the decision makers who should have removed the interim in her title were not at the game today. They will just see two losses this week That is too bad. Coach Collins is showing that she can bring the pride back to our Women's Program.
