This whole thing reeks from the good old boy network, the SEC, LSU, and the NCAA, none of them wanted to give up the record to a kid playing for Detroit. There can be many reasons, I have my own opinion and it's not pretty.

We need fans. That means people who think and act emotionally about our team and our players. We have too many people who only open their mouths to complain about us when they should be yelling at the ref's, the opponents, and cheering for us - even if they don't like everything that has happened or who is in charge. Kind of. On the other hand if everyone who supports the Titans took on the exact same persona as some in the group, we may still be watching BA try to establish a less embarrassing defense. Not every "real fan" needs to call for a public beheading when an opposing coach disables a camera during practice. 😉

Whether they thought it was a good idea for the Titans to play in the CBI or not, it's just foul for officials from other programs to call the CBI and pressure them to not invite Detroit. Seriously, WTF? So, we're all part of the same asscociation but some members took proactive steps against a member institution, due to a situation that didn't even involve those other schools? Why?
I wonder if they contacted the Selection Committee for the NCAA tourney to implore them not to invite Alabama, since one of their players killed someone in January and another player brought the gun used in the killing to the crime scene? Did they call and ask St. John's to not hire Pitino because his former team provided strippers and prostitutes to recruits and team members? I'm just trying to figure out where the line is that determines when you try to influence a decision that doesn't have anything to do with you.
