And in his debut game! He will help us tremendously this year. Double - double tonight!

I like when a new player gives us a W in the win column. Good luck!

I like Liddells game. He has good size, can rebound, handle the ball and shoot it a little bit.

I changed the name on this thread from "New Commit Gerald Liddell" to a simple "Gerald Liddell."

Does Gerald Liddell have another year of eligibility (i.e. 2023-24)? I noticed on verbal commits, Gerald is listed as a redshirt Junior.

Gerald played 3 years for Texas and 1 for Alabama State. He gets to write off the 2020-21 season at Texas due to Covid, but that still leaves this year as his 4th. He played too many games, and too late into the seasonm to have been redshirted by Texas in 2019 or 2020. But there could be some other circumstance I don't know about. It seems like nothing is sure these days.

What he did last night was exactly what we need from him. He seems to be much healthier, stronger and more active - closer to how he started his season. Offensively, he just needs to be an option - take care of the ball, take good shots, relax, make his FTs. Defensively and on the boards, he can be our gamechanger. Right now Adrian Nelson is eating up the league. Gerald is every bit as good (maybe not as strong, but more of an athlete with more agility and creativity in his game) and we will need him to be consistently good down the stretch, as he was last night.

You recall me telling you, back when he signed with Bacari, that people would be surprised by how good Adrian Nelson was? He's actually not been quite as good as I thought he might be, but he's been a very good player for both NKU and YSU. My guess is second team all-conference this year.

Commish was on the Adrian Nelson train early.
Feels like this season could have been a lot different had we had Liddell available from game one and his back hadn't have been giving him trouble later in the year. When healthy, he's played on an all league level.

Does anyone know if Gerald Liddell is playing pro basketball overseas?
