The Titans split the Fort Wayne & Cleveland State trip and split the Tulsa & Charlotte trip. Better than the recent past but really not good enough.. the Davis coaching staff is now figuring out the dynamics of the 2022-23 Titan team in time for the Conference regular season..The Horizon League season will be a wild ride to the top.. Fasten your seatbelts!!!

Still way too much one on one and very little crisp passing or passes seem to happen mostly when a dribble has to be picked up. Passes to eliminate defenders are nonexistent! We have the talent to be a very good team but I’m not sure we have the direction! We have the ingredients to make a great team now do we have the 👩🍳?

Things I learned before, during and after the Charlotte Game. We were seated in the first row, immediately behind our bench, courtesy of NC Titan receiving Comp Family Tickets from Coach Waller. I will continue to say this to anyone who will listen & act - when you reach out to the Titan Coaching Staff, they are warm and accommodating. 1. Parks is traveling with the team but doesn't even participate in layup drills, and it's not an injury. He is out of shape and it looks like unless he gets serious about basketball his career may be over. Having said that, he is engaged with his teammates and seems to have a good attitude. 2. Stone needs to get some practice time in with his newest teammate Liddell. Stone missed 9 straight days of practice! There probably aren't enough shots in a game for AD, Liddell and Stone to all average 15+ points, but regardless of how many points he scores, we need Stone as a top player out there, blending with the other stars and carrying more than the average player's weight out there. 3. Oliver and Moss seem to have bought into the Program. Both are showing great effort and attitude. 4. We don't always look good on Offense or Defense but we have a coach who coaches Xs and Os and adapts to in-game situations (first one since PW). 5. These guys seem to really care about each other and they want to win. They will need to push further to accomplish anything of note (consistent play, a winning streak, winning the regular season title) but if they keep growing it will be possible. 6. Gerald Liddell is something special.

You had me al the way on the post until you took it a step too far. I've personally watched this current coach handle in-game situation no better than Ray for a handful of years now. Maybe he's coming around finally, but seems like a premature statement and more a knock on Ray than something positive about our current guy with the abysmal record.

How can Parks be so out of shape that he can’t participate in warmup drills? He's a 22 year old guy who has been playing basketball pretty much his whole life. He had 11 rebounds against Florida Atlantic a couple weeks ago.

As a coach he was a terrific recruiter, a good teacher.

Not saying Ray was unbelievable with the Xs and Os. Simply stating that I dont think we've won more than 4 games over MDs tenure based on his (alleged) X&O skillset. He's 50-75 for Christ's sake. What's that make him? The worst recruiter on the planet? 😁

Ray was so/so in regard to X's and O's, he seemed to surround himself with good assistants to compensate, yes he could recruit and seemed comfortable with the fans, alum, and community. Every coach is different, I liked Ray's style.
