Hooper only played 5 min. Coming off of an ankle injury. Hooper and Birch can play fast but the rest of our team seems more comfortable in a deliberate style. I think we were 100% from the ft line gotta like that( 12 for 12)

Cleveland State is a good team. Their Net ranking today is #63, right behind Green Bay at #60 and one of 4 teams under 150. The top of the HL WBB is significantly stronger than the top 4 MBB. Rough night tonight, but they are getting better. They scored 35 points more than the first time they played this year: 65 versus 30. Conditioning was a factor at the end. We died in the 4th quarter. We were also well out of the game by then. I am looking for real progress next year when they have a full year of the Achter regime. Remember, she did not meet most of the team until August. They are playing with more confidence and at a faster pace that works better for them. Before Hooper's injury it was clear that the team plays faster and better when she pushes the play at guard. The freshmen are getting more minutes and making progress. Andrea Chiquemba (#33) just became eligible in January and is the youngster on the team.

I agree with Chuck. I've watched many of the games, and the team is getting better and better. Earlier in the season they were killed by the lack of an outside shooter but now they have a couple of players who can hit from distance. The inside game is good; Murua is a beast with a very fine touch. Conditioning is a challenge as the team often looks tired at the end of the game and that hurts all the shooting. They need to tighten up ball-handling -- too many turnovers, but that'll come -- and challenge the other team's distance shooters. Another post player would help as it really shows when Murua and Trawally Porta are out; hopefully Chiquemba will help. Best thing is the age of the team. Only one senior, three solid freshmen, two solid sophs.

If we are to play fast she needs different touches. The challenge is she is a nice scorer can shoot the 3 and slashes well so we are better offensively with her on the floor but not passing on the run.
