I don't think the discussion of Liddell's eligibility belongs on the Ryan Hurst thread. Picky picky Is this were we are talking about the branding?

Orchard Lake St Mary's (14-10) beat North Farmington (22-2), 56-44. That's too bad. I was hoping that Ryan would enjoy the big stage at Calihan.

Ryan Hurst finished 5th in the 2023 Mr. Basketball balloting. Tyler Jamison of Port Huron North finished first with 3,058 points followed by Curtis Williams of Birmingham Brother Rice (2,004), Grand Rapids Catholic Central’s Kaden Brown (1,918) Sonny Wilson of U-D Jesuit (1,883) and North Farmington’s (and future Titan) Hurst (1,811).

Brown is going to Wright State. Jamison committed back in October to Fairleigh Dickinson, and is feeling very vindicated right now. Curtis Williams signed with Louisville and Sonny Wilson will be at Toledo. Not many high major players coming out of Michigan anymore.

The Spring signing period begins April 12. Keep an eye out for news of Ryan signing his letter of intent.
Go Titans.

Michigan HS talent ain't what it used to be, mainly because of bad MHSAA policies, but it's still nice to know that we can nab a first-team All-Stater. I believe Ryan is our first since Jermaine Jackson the younger--but we haven't recruited Michigan much since then. Befpre that Cory Allen, Jaleel Hogan, and Aaron Foster-Smith were recent 1st team D1 All-State players.
Congrats to Ryan Hurst. We look forward to seeing you in Calihan!
