Pretty impressive for the Horizon League's top four seeds to all have 20 wins coming into tonight's action. Not easy for a league on the HL level.

The loss of Browning for some games late in the season hurt Milwaukee. They never regained the same level of effectiveness even when he returned. They had some nice team chemistry working before he was hurt. This Milwaukee team also seems to have trouble playing on that floor. They almost lost there to IUPUI a month ago. They had beaten CSU twice this year until last night. But they were the big positive surprise of the HL in 2022-23. PFW was the big negative surprise.
For YSU, I wonder if the elation of beating us last Thursday along with the distractions resulting from the postgame antics contributed to their slow start. Or maybe Julie Roe Lach instructed the officials to foul out Cohill early as part of his double secret probation? YSU gets the NIT and for the HL, this is a positive.
Down the stretch, NKU and CSU were the two best teams in the regular season. Unfortunately, we peaked at Oakland, one week too soon.

Maybe it’s time to admit that the Horizon improved this year. From a #27 ranking to #21. Four 20 win teams. Only 2 20 loss teams (so far).

IUPUI and Green Bay are #a 360 and 361 in NET rank this year, out of 363 teams. Last year they were, respectively, #358 and #344. That's quite a drag on the conference NET rank.

My point exactly, Commish. Even with two of the lowest ranked teams nationally, the HL moved up in overall ratings. The league is stronger at the top and the middle. If GB and IUPUI can improve a bit, the HL can crack the 15-20 rankings.

AD gets all-tournament team over all YSU players. When the team didn't even make Indianapolis? This is a PR disaster for the Titans!

AD gets all-tournament team over all YSU players. When the team didn't even make Indianapolis? This is a PR disaster for the Titans! Hard to believe and a bit embarrassing, but this is our first selection since Ray, Jason Calliste, and LaMarcus Lowe all made the 2012 team.

YSU got placed in a good bracket in the NIT. If they get past Oklahoma State (18-15) they can do some damage. Bradley is in a weak major school bracket (Oregon, Florida, Wisconsin, Villanova), they could come out a mid-major, Midwestern champion.
