There will be new offers pretty regularly this time of year. New offers noted today for Darrell Davis (Dayton, St. Joe's, Rhode Island), Yante Maten (UNC Greensboro), Paris Bass (La Tech) and Justin Tillman (Iowa).

I would say that based on the competition, we still have a shot at Bass and Maten. However, I imagine that like a lot of guys in their position, they will wait until next spring to decide, hoping to get a high major offer that they like, unless of course they get one before then.
We'll be down to the wire with these guys.

Thanks for the updates, Commish. I think I'll repost my 2014 wish list here. With another "live recruiting period" approaching in July, I've been thinking about my wish list for the class of 2014. I'm going to limit this to guys I think we have a pretty good shot at getting, so I'm not going to list guys like Tillman and Davis, who I'd love to have. I think the high majors will steal them away. In no particular order, and just for conversations sake: 1. Deberry: Despite his transfer to a different JUCO, I still think we have a good shot at locking him down. I don't think he's on the radar of the high majors that strongly yet. I think the stability we have from hiring an AD and another coach, along with hopefully another strong season in 2013-14, will keep us an option for him. 2. DaRohn Scott: He's the type of big man we can and should target out of high school. He's talented and still developing and will get a real opportunity at U of D. 3. Kendall Rollins: Would fit in nicely at the small forward role, and give us another addition from Indianapolis. 4. One of the guards: Tarin Smith, Errick Locke, Tevin King, Darreon Reddick, David Crisp. All look like positive additions and represent geographical areas where we can gain a foothold in recruiting. If we bring on Patrick Ackerman as expected and he starts to play in 2014, I think the signing of DeBerry is less critical, although I'd like to have both. Comments, corrections, concurrence, and counterpoints are all welcome. It's been about a month and we've added some players to the list, so I think I'll update my "wish list". 1. DaRohn Scott. Adds much needed size and seems to have a lot of potential. 2. Jordan Nobles. Listed as a power forward but likely a small forward in college. 3. Paris Bass/Yante Maten. I don't think we can get both. 4. Kendall Rollins: Appears to have the makings of a lock down defender. 5. Mory Diane. Could follow Ray's path to U of D. My disclaimer is that when I look at the list that Commish has posted, there is not a player there that I WOULDN'T want, so I'd be very happy with any combination that addresses our front court and maintains at least a little local flavor. Go Titans.

I read that Bass had a strong performance in AAU ball yesterday. 15 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots.

He is piling up the mid major offers. I wonder if/when the high majors will start paying serious attention to him.

Saw a couple of interesting tweets today regarding two of our 2014 targets.
Jeff Borzello @jeffborzello Darrell Davis looks good to me as a mid-major prospect. Just finished with a nice floater. 6-3/6-4, handles, long.
Redbird Recon @redbirdrecon "@jerrymeyer247: Paris Bass is my Khalif Wyatt. Future high major killer." Holds an offer from #REDBIRDhoops

Not sure if we are considering Stephen Spurlock part of the 2014 class after he disappointed me by taking a prep year instead of our offer, but here's an update on his recruitment.
Jamie Shaw @jamieshaw5 16 Jul Stephen Spurlock 6'7 W @masterofkicks says Princeton, Army, and Portland St are now in contact

Yeah, I've never felt good about our chances of getting Tillman. I expect him to jump on one of the high major offers.
I notice he didn't mention us among the offers he got, but as Commish has said before, sometimes they just forget as they are rattling them off in that situation.

He did mention having the offer in a recent interview on Metro Detroit HS Athletics, but only when specifically asked from whom he had offers - not when generically asked what schools were looking at him.

I read today that Darrell Davis picked up an offer from DePaul this weekend. If we can't get him, I wouldn't mind seeing him with the Blue Demons.

More offers noted, including Buffalo for Mory Diane, DePaul for Darrell Davis, FIU for Paris Bass (who looks likely to revert to his original Class of 2013), some others as well.

Saw a tweet from Kyle Kuzma saying he would be cutting his list down after he gets back from Vegas this week.
