Just wanted to bump this up. I plan on attending and encourage anyone in the vicinity to come to the event, hopefully we will learn more about the schedule and how all the player parts are meshing on both the MBB and WBB teams.

My wife and i will be there. It is always a nice event. I second Robobob77 on this. I hope to see many of you. I saw the Women's practice last week and they looked good for a team still getting to know each other. I didn't stay for the men's practice but it looked like the full team was there. Of course, I don't know who was who but I counted 15 players shooting so it must have included most of them.

Cookout: It was a pretty nice event. They said 110 people RSVP'd. Looked like a little more than that there with the Men's and Women's team in attendance. Here's a few highlights. 1. The Women's team now has some Bigs! The girls introduced themselves and said where they were from. Coach said summer practice has been going really well and fans can expect to see a very competitive team. The Women will be playing Michigan and Michigan State in the Pre-Season with Michigan coming to Calihan next year! The Men's team also introduced themselves and said where they were from. It's a tall team (no sign of a 6'11 guy with a French accent). Coach also said the summer practice which all players have been participating in has gone well! Coach had his whole family there with him and introduced them.(wife,2 boys,1 girl). Monty is bringing a lot of excitement to the program! Monty will be throwing out the first Pitch at Catholic Night at Jimmy John's Field tomorrow. Last but not least: ENROLLMENT IS UP! The Freshmen Class will be about 650 this year which is 100 more than last year. Enrollment continues to grow at all of the schools.

I count 14 players, one coach and one Eli. Where is Frenchie? At the Olympics? I asked Assistant Coach Stone about Frenchie. He was very noncommittal, just said it was very important that he take care of his academic stuff this summer semester, and that took priority over any kind of athletic training.

Forgot to add an important piece of information from the Coach's BBQ. The Women's team held a practice/team scrimmage at St. Cecilia's last week. Not sure if they were there to honor Earl Cureton or if it was just the right thing to do. Both teams are trying to get out in the community when they can.
