Wow. I did not expect that. I was sure he was going to leave his options open and delay hiring an agent.

The Oakland board thinks Felder is just saying these things to be sure he is taken seriously and gets real feedback. I suppose that is possible, though it sounds more like wishful thinking. I guess we'll know for sure when he signs with an agent, or May 25 rolls around and he hasn't withdrawn.

Sounds like the tge same type of wishful thinking the Titan fans were doing when Ray declared for the NBA draft. Why would he not get an honest evaluation if he didn't say those things? I don't think the people doing those evaluations take that into consideration.

I don't think the people doing those evaluations take that into consideration. I gather the thinking is that if the NBA scouts don't think you're serious, and you're just testing to get some feedback, or are likely to pull out if you're not a lock to be drafted, they won't really focus on you; you'll get some generic comments about coming back in 2017. I think he's gone. With him, I think OU was the league favorite. Now I'd have to re-evaluate. May depend on what Peters does at Valpo--word is he can graduate with summer classes and then play immediately at a power 5 school. Vanderbilt might have interest.

No other D-I offers and precious few signs of recruitment. So he sounds like a project, a likely freshman redshirt. But it's always nice to sign a big, and as the son of an NBAer he may have a high basketball IQ.

I didn't even know Edwards had a son who was a basketball player and I've talked to him several times over the past couple of years.

Oakland continues to be a landing spot for players who have found themselves on the wrong side of the law. Kendrick Nunn, how was dismissed from Illinois after pleading guilty to a battery charge after he assaulted a woman, is transferring to Oakland. He's a talent; he scored 15 points per game for Illinois last season. www.si.com/college-basketball/2016/06/22/kendrick-nunn-transfers-oakland

How does he do it? Kampe has landed another troubled transfer, Kendrick Nunn of Illinois. Nunn was Big 10 All-Freshman team in 2014, and this year averaged 15.5 ppg. He was booted out of Illinois's program a month ago after pleading guilty to a battery charge stemming from a domestic violence incident (i.e. he beat up his girl friend). Two other charges of domestic battery were dropped as part of his plea bargain.
