Future looks bright for Michigan. They just enjoyed their second Final Four appearance in five years (second Final game actually) and will be bringing in a top recruiting class in 2018. And they maintained a state recruiting presence, landing DeJulius out of Detroit and Johns out of Lansing. Look for Michigan to be well regarded in the preseason polls. www.espn.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/school?id=130

Couple of player movement developments in the news for Michigan lately.
Sophomore guard Ibi Watson has decided to transfer. Seems like a good player who got lost in the numbers at Michigan. Can probably make some noise in the right mid major situation.
Big news is Mo Wagner has declared for the NBA draft and will be hiring an agent, making him ineligible to return to the Wolverines. He had a nice career.

To add to this, we'll play Providence or South Carolina in the next round, and host two of Siena, Loyola-Maryland, Holy Cross, and Norfolk State before heading to Connecticut.

I REALLY like Wilson's game, as does I think everyone who's a fan of Michigan. He's target number one for 2019 (with D.J. Carton 1A I think). He will almost assuredly get offered tomorrow and there's murmurs he could accept. The general feeling is pretty good around him coming to Michigan, apparently we're in the lead with Baylor and Marquette the next two. Austin Reaves (transfer from Wichita State) was also going to visit this week but he cancelled. I think this means more for Carton than Wilson, but it's still interesting.

Following up on Carton, he just released a top six:
Apparently the rumor is that Michigan and OSU are his top two. Wilson and Carton as a two-man class would be great, but we're in on so many elite 2019s I'd almost be disappointed with just two, but of course would not want anyone to leave out of scholarship pressure.

Also, apparently prospect Jaden McDaniels (nephew of Juwan Howard) is REALLY skyrocketing up rankings. He named Michigan in the top five schools he's hearing most from. 64th as of now, but had a big weekend and that could jump up. Michigan is around a big handful of top 50-100 level 2019s. REALLY hope they get at least two of them.

Per the Twitterverse: Corey Evans: Top-50 junior Jalen Wilson will make his college decision on Wednesday. Michigan, Kansas, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Marquette & UCLA the finalists

Good day for Michigan basketball. Wilson commits to the Wolverines and Charles Matthews announces he will withdraw from the NBA draft and return to college.
