Lol. Can't say I'm surprised that I missed it then. Thanks.

Anthony Crump to Middle Tennessee State. I see he was discussed a few pages back, figured I should add that. Additionally, another name I see discussed, Cam Carpenter, posted on his Twitter that he's making his decision next week so presumably that will not be at Detroit.

Commish - thanks for following up on Khalil and posting the commitment. Random tweet from Steve Bell If Detroit decides to hire a coach, he should offer Flint Powers' Cam Carpenter. Carpenter is a 2018 pg, ranked 113 by prephoops Michigan, but had a standout AAU performance last weekend and opened up some eyes I'm always reluctant to put too much stock in a one off performance like a great showing at an AAU event. I can remember playing a high school summer league tournament where I played out of my mind and looked like a shorter version of Eric Turner of Flint Central/U of M. Obviously, I was nowhere near that good normally. Having said that, given the likely scramble that we'll have to fill the roster once the new coach is hired, Carpenter might be worth a look. Carpenter to Livingstone College

Carpenter to Livingstone College When there was that Tweet of three players that Detroit should offer, he retweeted it along with some others that said Detroit should offer him.
Also, as a follow-up to the front page of this post, Zachary Winston committed to Albion a couple months ago.
At this point, who's even left? There's, what, five days left for recruits to sign? Even though they can still commit after, it's an important deadline.

LFC - there ain't much left at this point for the 2018 class as you note. We will need to uncover a stray diamond or 2 in the rough, a grad transfer or two, a Juco transfer or two. Filling out the 2018-19 roster looks to be a herculean task because of this long, drawn out coaching hire.
Not to bag on Zach Winston but he wasn't a D1 talent. Good kid and comes from a good family, but I saw him play alot the past 3 years and Albion will be a good landing spot for him. It's still college ball and there's something to be said for making it that far!

If this happened at a P5 school (and it did to a lesser extent the past couple of years at Pitt) people would be losing their mind. As an outsider, this is a real condemnation of the hierarchy that there seems to be no urgency or self-awareness. But that's beyond the scope of this thread. I didn't realize Cassius had a brother. He even looks older than him! Regardless, even if he's not a D1 talent, college ball is college ball on any level is an accomplishment like you said.

I guess we get to start with a clean slate, which usually is a good thing - This time, not so much.

I wonder what took so long?

I wonder what took so long? Maybe he wanted to see who the new coach might be as he really liked the school, but got tired of waiting. There are only a handful of days left before the signing period is over, so perhaps he wants to lock into a program that already has a staff in place.

Possible that this was already known by the parties involved and just happened to made public today. No one in the media is chasing after Titan news so it could have easily passed by without mention. Also possible that Rogobob's theory is on point. If I was a recruit, I'd certainly be looking for a landing spot.
