Thanks Hscout, I see that Moore attended Westchester in L.A. that school is the alma-mater of former titan Matt Grant. Who is evaluating players and doling out scholarships for us these days? According to the university athletic website we only have one coach...and he stated that he hasnt recruited in six years.

He didn't say that he does not recruit....he said that he doesn't leave campus to recruit. I guess that he has scouts all over the place plus the eventual coaching staff. I believe his emphasis was to be available for the team and not to be running all over just to make an appearance.

Marquis Moore was offered. I believe he's 6'5" to 6'6' W/SF/G from California and may have graduated in 2017 and attended prep or juco. I'm working on the specifics Moore is announcing tomorrow evening. I feel somewhat confident we will get a commit from him

BTW, I don't say that to slight the kid. He looks like a pretty good player.

I also suspect we get Damon Harge. Out of all the transfer/decommit possibilities from TSU, he is my 1st choice.

He looks like a pretty good player. With Coach Davis, I am comfortable with the decisions he makes in terms of what players he is pursuing. His track record indicates he knows what he is doing. If he likes Moore, I will like him, too. Be nice to start officially filling out the roster for the coming season, get players on campus and involved with the program.

By the way, I was thinking while doing yard work yesterday, Davis has never put a really bad product on the floor. Last year his team was 16-20, his 4th sub-.500 season in 18 years as a head coach. In the other three, he was 1 game under .500 each time. And of course last year, his team finished second in the conference regular season and then went to the NCAAs. He's got nine 20-win seasons, two of 19 wins, one with 18 wins. He's never had a team that was just not competitive, a la the last two Titan squads, or the last year of Perry/1st year of Ray, or the poorer Sicko teams. It'll be tough to be at .500 this year, but the Horizon is a shambles--it's remarkable to look at what the Titans lost and think we're not much worse off than anybody else other than Northern Kentucky, Wright State, and UIC--and maybe he can do it.

According to the other Board, at the golf outing, Davis said 9 players are committed to attend over the past month. You guys have no idea how much it aggregates me that I cant get confirmation on the final 4 names (although I bet I could name at least 2 or 3 of them). However, that's assuming he's not including the returners in the committed 9.
