It's early, but some teams (Louisville and LSU) have already been hit hard by players announcing their intention to leave for the NBA. Coaches son RJ Hunter at Georgia State also announced he will give up his final year to go pro. zagsblog.com/articles/2015-nba-draft-early-entry-list/

We live in an age where a sophomore guard from the Ohio Valley sets an announcement time to reveal whether or not he is going to the NBA. Jeff Goodman @goodmanespn 31m31 minutes ago Murray State's Cameron Payne announcing his decision today at 3 pm. Sources said Payne expected to leave for NBA Draft. Payne's a good player, but a 6-2 guard from the OVC doesn't exactly scream first round pick. I feel bad for the Murray State coach, who probably planned on making an NCAA run next year with Payne on board, after an NIT bid this year. espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/66902/cameron-payne

Here's an interesting twist on the early entry debate. Most feel the Harrison twins of Kentucky are second round picks or not likely to get drafted, but the feeling is that Calipari will "push" them to declare for the draft to make room for the kids he really wants in the 2015 class. Tough spot for the kids to be in, and hopefully other players keep that in mind. I've seen the Harrison twins play a few times and never really been impressed with their overall games. They are good college players, but I would be surprised to see either of them have success at the NBA level. zagsblog.com/articles/nba-scout-aaron-harrison-better-pro-prospect-than-andrew/

100 players who declared for the NBA draft have decided to withdraw from the draft process. You know, for a lot of these players, it seems to be a way to stroke the ego a bit, but for others it is a good opportunity to get feedback on where they stand. We'll see some final pieces fall in recruiting nationwide as coaches have some certainty on who will be back next year. www.zagsblog.com/2018/06/01/one-hundred-early-entry-candidates-withdraw-from-nba-draft/

Among the new rules announced by the NCAA today, players who declare for the draft and go undrafted are eligible to return to school. Lots of questions about that. If you are a coach, do you hold a scholarship until late June, "just in case"?

Big name entering the NBA Draft: Jaylen Nowell of Washington has declared for the draft. I fully expect him to stay in.
Another PAC 12 player, Bol Bol of Oregon, also declared and has hired an agent. Bol only played in 9 games. He had good numbers, 21 and 10 per game, but nine of those games were against mid major competition. I think he'll be fine in today's NBA.

North Carolina freshman Nassir Little is declaring for the NBA draft. Played 18 minutes per game for the Tar Heels, averaging 10 points per game. Likely small forward in the NBA, but only shot 28% from three point range.
Talen Horton-Tucker declared for the draft. He played 27 minutes per game with Iowa State this year. Averaged 12 ppg while shooting 41/31/63. He's a 6-4 guard, so my immediate thought is that his lack of shooting will keep him from getting drafted and he might be back, but his announcement on Twitter seems to indicate he has no plans of returning.

Bummer but not wholly unexpected at all about Little. He's projected by NBADraft to go 7th overall. Fellow Tar Heel Coby White is projected at #5 overall -- he was a great, fun PG to watch in the Carolina system this year. Seeing him play another one or two more would've been a whole lot of fun. Instead, by going #5 he's set to make around $5M next year playing ball, and then untold fortunes after that given the money that sloshes around the NBA.
