NKU takes a trip to Big Ten country in November. Jon Rothstein @jonrothstein 10m10 minutes ago Illinois will host Northern Kentucky on November 13th in Champaign, source told @cbssports. I smell an upset. 2 things: NKU will be better and Illinois will underestimate them.

Northern Kentucky got what appears to be a nice commitment from 6-8, 235 forward Silas Adheke from Eastern Florida State Junior College. Adheke was a three star ESPN recruit who signed with Evansville out of high school before going the JUCO route. He will have three years of eligibility left. Looks solid. verbalcommits.com/players/silas-adheke

Per Twitter, Carson Williams is transferring from NKU. The 6-5 sophomore averaged 12 points per game for the Norse. Seems like a big loss.

Per Twitter, Carson Williams is transferring from NKU. The 6-5 sophomore averaged 12 points per game for the Norse. Seems like a big loss. That is a big loss. I wonder why? No change in the coaches. He's with a winning program that looks to be real good next year. He's been a good, solid HL player, but it's not like he's dominating the league or anything. He's playing close to home, and it's not like he ended up at NKU because no one else offered. Are the opportunities now really that much better?

Soph Mason Faulkner is leaving NKU. He averaged 5.6 ppg in 17 mpg this year. Faulkner was a big scorer in HS but never quite found a niche at NKU. He did hit 36% of his threes this year. Faulkner had the best game of his career 15 months ago, when he scored 29 points against the Titans. I wouldn't object to taking a shot a Faulkner for the Titans.

They played Norfolk State in the fall of 2016 and Robinson shot 1-15 from the field, and in the fall of 2015, with Robinson shooting 2-8. But apparently Brannen must have liked what he saw.

NKU with another commitment for 2019 as small forward Marcus Domask of Wisconsin committed to the Norse. Domask had multiple HL and MAC offers.

Two pieces of potentially negative news affecting the Norse program today. 1. Andy Furman of Fox Sports Radio tweeted his prediction: 2. A former NKU woman's BB player accuses the coach of emotional abuse of her players. www.theodysseyonline.com/behind-closed-doors-what-really-is-going-on-with-the-womens-basketball-team-at-northern-kentucky-universityFirst time I've heard anything remotely negative about the athletic programs there. Losing Brannen would be a blow just as he has gotten the program to consistency. Also, is this prediction reasonable given that Brannen was Anthony Grant's assistant and interim head coach when Grant was fired at alabama before Avery Johnson arrived?
