This post lists Titans who have won recognition on the Court. I am including only conference or national awards, not internal awards such as Team MVP or Most Improved. I also don't include academic honors (such as Academic All America).
All-America Recognition*

1940 - **Bob Calihan

1955 - ***Guy Sparrow

1957 - Bill Ebben (2nd team Helms; 2nd team Converse; 3rd team AP; HM UPI)
1960 - Dave DeBusschere (1st team News Enterprise Assn; 2nd team Converse; 3rd team UPI, 3rd team Helms, HM AP)
1961 - Dave DeBusschere (2nd team NABC; 2nd team News Enterprise Assn; 2nd team Converse; 3rd team UPI; 3rd team Helms, HM AP)
1962 - Dave DeBusschere (2nd team News Enterprise Assn; 2nd team Helms; 2nd team Converse; 3rd team AP; 3rd team UPI; 3rd team NABC)
1966 - Dorie Murrey (HM AP)
1969 - Spencer Haywood (1st team Consensus; 1st team AP, UPI, NABC, Sporting News, News Enterprise Assn, USBWA, Converse)

* Consensus All-Americans are determined by the NCAA based on All-American Selections by various organizations. In recent years, the NCAA has relied on the Associated Press, the National Association of Basketball Coaches, the United States Basketball Writers Association, and the Sporting News.
** Titan record books often list Calihan as an All-American in 1940, but I've not see independent verification.
*** Listed as All-Americans in Missouri Valley Conference Record Book. Swanson was named to Look Magazine's 1952 District 5 All-America team--they had 8 such districts--but was not named first or second team All-America nationally. I suppose being All-District would be the equivalent of "Honorable Mention." VN 3/6/53 paraphrases Basketball Record story on Swanson's rise from "'too awkward' to make a high school team to a selection on some All-American teams." Titan and MVC sources list Swanson as an All-American in 1953, but I've never found a record of this and it seems unlikely given that academic problems limited him to 14 games. Perhaps he was a pre-season All-American selection? I have also seen some sources listing Swanson as a 1951 All-American. This seems more likely than 1953, but still unlikely--he was 2d team all MVC that year. Similarly, I have not found a specific source naming Sparrow an All-American in 1955, but he is listed as such in the MVC record books.
Varsity News of Feb. 28, 1964, says Dick Dzik was honorable mention All-American, but does not mention the naming body. This is believable, and honorable mention recognition can be difficult to find, but so far I've found no other record of Dzik being honored.
