Nebraska gets ahead of the recruiting curve, gaining it's second commitment for the class of 2020. The Huskers are supposed to have a good team this year, and could be building some momentum. nebraska.rivals.com/commitments/basketball/2020

The Big Ten has gotten off to a better start than some expected. Iowa is 5-0 with wins over UConn and Oregon. Michigan has looked great, although their blowout win over Villanova has lost some luster after the Nova lost to Furman. The Spartans look solid, as expected. Minnesota is 5-0 with wins over Utah and Washington. Ohio State opened the year with a road win over Cincy. Wisconsin is 4-0 and it up 18 on Oklahoma as I type this.
It was a down year for the Big 10, 12, 14 in 2017-18, but the start this season has been positive.

Another classic case of not being satisfied with being really good. In 9 seasons under Weber, Illinois had 8 winning seasons, 6 NCAA appearances, and 1 Final Four. The buyout for Weber was $3.9 million (I don't know if Illinois paid much of that since Weber quickly found other work). This is year 7 post-Weber, and they've made the NCAA tournament once (the first year after firing Weber), and this will likely be their 3 sub-.500 season in the last 4 years. They lost today to Northwestern and are now 4-11.
