Duke's top recruit in the 2016 class undergoes another surgery.
"Duke freshman Harry Giles had knee surgery on Monday and is expected to be out for six weeks. This isn't good news -- since he's recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in the first game of his high school season."

Dire predictions abound for Georgia Tech this year. I guess adding two low performing grad transfers from Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan didn't help all that much.
It would really be something if the ACC has two years in a row with a team going winless in conference play.
Jon Rothstein @jonrothstein 11m11 minutes ago Georgia Tech may have the worst power-five roster I've ever seen. Yellow Jackets won't win a game in ACC play this season. Book it.

Tough blow for NC. Pinson was expected to be big things this year.
Jon Rothstein @jonrothstein 10m10 minutes ago North Carolina's Theo Pinson is out indefinitely with a fractured right foot, per release. No timetable for return. Significant ACC news.

The ACC won five of six on the last night of the ACC/Big Ten challenge and won the challenge for the first time since 2008. Some are saying this year's version of the ACC might be the best basketball conference ever. Big questions for the ACC:
Is Duke as good as advertised? How good will they be when healthy? Is North Carolina actually better than their runner up team from last season? Is Buzz Williams going to get Virginia Tech to the Big Dance this year? Will Georgia Tech match Boston College's 0-18 2015-16 conference record? Does Florida State return to the NCAA tournament?
The Sporting News predicts the ACC this way:
Duke North Carolina Louisville Virginia Syracuse Florida State Miami Virginia Tech Notre Dame NC State Clemson Pittsburgh Wake Forest Georgia Tech Boston College

Big upsets in the ACC today:
Georgia Tech over UNC. The Heels were favored by 18.
Virginia Tech over Duke. Duke played without the suspended Grayson Allen.
Florida State over Virginia. The Seminoles ticked off a box on their at large bid resume.

Some had predicted that Georgia Tech would not win an ACC game this year. They already have two wins; their victims were North Carolina and NC State.
