The biggest winners here are Michigan State season ticket holders.

Still so weird to see Maryland on the Big 10 side of this tourney. I know its been a few years and I should just deal with it and get with the times.
I'm admittedly biased in thinking this is the best of the conference v conference 'showdowns'. Both conferences are always so deep with talented teams, even if the big 10 brand of basketball is bit uglier (or had been for a long long time). The never-needed/never-asked-for Horizon v Summit certainly won't get my juices flowing.

I think eventually both conferences will have 16 members each. With divisions, each school will have 7 common opponents in football each year. And 16 team basketball tournaments for those conferences would be very popular and bring in a ton of revenue. For the ACC it's quite simple. Work out the tv/football thing with ND to make them a full member. Then poach an SEC member that doesn't threaten the big boys. Vanderbilt comes to mind.

Delaware transfer Ithiel Horton has committed to Pittsburgh. Averaged 13 points for Delaware as a freshman in 2018-19. This is one of those transfers that worries me for the future of mid majors. He didn't exactly set the world on fire at Delaware, but he was still poached by a high major. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4397401/ithiel-horton

Boston College sophomore Wynston Tabbas will be lost for the season after undergoing knee surgery. He averaged 14 ppg for the Eagles last season.
