Coach Jeff Capel is trying to lift Pitt from the dumpster fire that resulted in the administration's decision to "dare to be great" by firing Jamie Dixon. Kevin Stallings had a brief two year run that included a 4-32 record in the ACC and was fired. Capel went 14-19, 3-15 last season, and got good news today when the Panthers received a verbal commitment from four star center John Hugley of Cleveland, Ohio. He's the third member of the Pitt class so far. 247sports.com/college/pittsburgh/Season/2020-Basketball/Commits/

Hunter Dickinson is now doing an unofficial to UM this weekend and apparently his gf was offered a track scholarship there. Coach K and Mike Brey are both sweating today and probably walking over to have some informal talks with their respective women’s track coaches.

Still no deal with the ACC Network (an ESPN channel) and Comcast. Lots of ACC fans are missing exhibition games right now (unless they’re willing to shell out another $50 a month or so to get Hulu and ACCN that comes with it). ACC fans will start to miss real games starting Tuesday night. Hopefully a deal can be made.
With all the new technology, it’s still often a challenge to just watch your favorite teams play because of all the different networks and contract agreements. Frustrating. Wish ESPN would just offer a single sign up option to get all of their channels and content for $20 a month or something.

www.verbalcommits.com/schools/dukeDuke officially at -2 open scholarships with their newest commitment tonight. Yeesh. Some rules need to change. I don’t feel a program should be allowed to go in the negative when it comes to scholarship offers just because they are a one and done factory.

Not sure who here receives the YES network (Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network) besides those in the NY area, but the NC State game is listed as being shown live on Sun the 10th at 4pm. BTW, for those who care, the TV Guide online listing calls us Detroit **What may be worth a try as a last ditch effort is the FoxSports App on your phone. They often carry some of the YES network games (I believe YES may be partly owned by FOX)

This is a good get. I REALLY liked Cam Johnson and his game. Someone with a pure shooting stroke is very enjoyable to watch. Allegedly his brother has a bit more length plus the same talents including shooting touch. I only saw the highlights of the Heels win over Notre Dame last night but the stuff that Cole Anthony showed, WOW!
