This is a good get. I REALLY liked Cam Johnson and his game. Someone with a pure shooting stroke is very enjoyable to watch. Allegedly his brother has a bit more length plus the same talents including shooting touch. I only saw the highlights of the Heels win over Notre Dame last night but the stuff that Cole Anthony showed, WOW! Cole Anthony seems like the REAL DEAL. Looks like he's a certain one and done. I'm happy he'll have a chance to make a ton of money, but the college basketball fan in me would love to see how good he would be as a junior or senior in the Tar Heel system.

Boston College loses a buy game to Belmont, 100-85. Yes, the Eagles gave up 100 points in a home loss to Belmont. I smile because I have rooted against BC since they fired Al Skinner. :-)

Wow. Virginia only managed 17 points in the first half against Purdue. Notre Dame only managed 20 points in the first half against Maryland.

Pittsburgh signed coach Jeff Capel to a two year extension, though the 2026-27 season.

The eyes of the ACC are rightfully on the Duke vs UNC game, but don't overlook Florida State today. The eighth ranked Seminoles defeated rival Miami by a score of 99-81, improving to 19-3, 10-2. As a topper, top 50 2021 recruit Bryce McGowens committed to Florida State today. Good day for Leonard Hamilton. n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2021/bryce-mcgowens-236024

Florida State's Leonard Hamilton named ACC Coach of the Year. Well deserved. The 'Noles finished first in the ACC.

Incredibly Duke has only 1 ACC regular season title in 14 years and hasn’t had 1 since 2010!!! Really difficult to believe with the massive influx of nba guys and 1-done talent to go thru Cameron over the years.

Final 2019-20 ACC standings:
Florida State Duke Louisville Virginia Ga Tech Notre Dame NC State Syracuse Clemson Virginia Tech Miami Boston College Pittsburgh Wake Forest North Carolina
Obviously, the shock of the standings is seeing UNC in last place. Lots of injuries, some bad luck, and some players not doing as well as expected, all contributed to this. But don't threat, Titan Tarheel; the Heels have a recruiting class that includes three 5 stars and 2 four stars, and some of these injured guys will be back. And, of course, Roy Williams will still be the coach.
Florida State won the regular season conference title outright, finishing at 16-4.
Boston College finished with a losing record again. In the ten years since the Eagles fired Al Skinner for not winning enough games in the NCAA tournament, the team has had only two overall winning seasons, with no winning seasons in conference. That curse I put on them after they fired Al has been good for a decade.

I never would have guessed that, and you know I follow college basketball pretty closely.

From Julian Benbow on Twitter, regarding the Boston College Eagles:
Boston College will keep head coach Jim Christian. BC finished with a losing record for the fifth time in Christian's six seasons. AD Martin Jarmond said, “There is so much uncertainty right now with everything. You need to be steady and you need to have calm in uncertain times.”

Translation: We are broke AF because of the coronavirus and simply cannot buy out the last year of his contract and simultaneously pay two MBB HC salaries.

One rumor I’m hearing: ND might have zero buy games in 2020. Looking for close home and homes, including Loyola and DePaul. Crossroads Classic likely killed which would enable ND to schedule home and home with Purdue instead. Also a possibility, some of these home and home agreements might call for revenue sharing for the 2021 game. Example: ND hosts DePaul in 2020 but attendance sucks because of public health and weak economy. But if the 2021 game in Chicago has a certain gate attendance, ND gets at least some of that money.
