It's August, and the magazine predictions for 2016 should start to appear soon. This thread is to collect preseason predictions for the Horizon. Here are a couple already out on the net - they are so premature as to be more or less worthless, since personnel moves change things quite a bit. For example, this first -- posted on March 31 -- predicts CSU to finish third, minus Trey Lewis but still with Anton Grady and Kaza Keane, who had not yet announced their transfers. But just for fun...
Basketball Predictions.com 1. Valparaiso 2. Oakland 3. Cleveland State 4. Detroit 5. Milwaukee
College Sports Madness 1. Valparaiso 2. Oakland 3. Milwaukee
I presume as rankings come out Valpo will be a unanimous choice for first place. Oakland will be a popular choice for second in a league that, with Cleveland State's transfer-fueled implosion, simply lacks good teams at the top. Likewise, I think Milwaukee will be a popular pick for third, which is probably undeserved but there is no other obvious alternative. Look for Detroit to be picked 4-6, with one or two sources placing us third. YSU and NKU will fill out the bottom, with Cleveland State and Green Bay probably 7th and 8th in some order. Wright State, which should bounce back quickly from last year's debacle, and UIC, which should be much improved, look like the 5-6th place teams, and I suspect will generally be predicted around there.

Sporting News is out. Elton Alexander, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, did their write up:
1. Oakland 2. Valpo 3. Detroit 4. Milwaukee 5. Green Bay 6. Cleveland State 7. Wright State 8. UIC 9. Youngstown State 10. Northern Kentucky
Predicts Bass as all conference (along with Felder, Peters, Bobby Hain and JT Yoho.) They predicted Youngstown's Latin Davis, from Milan, for Freshman of the Year.

Or, if you're predicting Valpo/Milwaukee as 1-2, Valpo @ Milwaukee?
