FWIW, I searched “Aly Khalifa” in Twitter and it appears someone by that name was at a big man camp in Houston last month. This was the message I found in a basketball scout’s post:
“Aly Khalifa is a top 2 if not the best big man at this NCAA Camp. Ultra skilled, educated feet, steps out and makes 3s #GameSpeaks”

Seems like Khalifa is a big time player who could change a so-so recruiting class into something really good and put us in near the top of the Horizon. I've seen him listed as both a class of 2019 and class of 2020 player, so he MAY not be the guy. Noureldin seems to be a lot lesser of a player (maybe more in line with what we would normally expect) and probably won't be an impact player. If the MBM is going to live up to his billing as player who can dominate the Horizon, then Khalifa it is. I've got my fingers crossed....

Each milk purchase also counts towards the necessary amount to donate to have access to the Titan Club room.
Separately, I've long been on record as a big fan of Julian Dozier's game (little PG from UD Jesuit). He held some D1 offers including Oakland and Eastern, however at this time he seems to STILL not be signed anywhere. He was 2nd team All State for D1. He took his junior year to play at some factory type high school out in Arizona before coming back to Detroit for his senior year. My reckless speculation is somehow Julian hasn't qualified somehow/someway to be eligible this year. By all accounts a good kid, but perhaps a few credits got hung up during the prep school journey out west (if thats the case, a cautionary note for other kids contemplating that route).

Khalifa would be a good get. I don’t know if he’s “change the landscape” of the Horizon League good, but he’d certainly be a very good HL player. He’d qualify as our MBM for sure. Is he the MBM we had on the line? If so, was he admitted to the university? The one article says from last year says he’s trying to learn English as fast as he can. I could see a lot of admissions hurdles for someone like him,
First day of classes are today. I have to believe we get an official roster this week, if not next week at the very very latest.

Here’s a group photo of the University’s freshman class. There is a really big guy at the back, near Jesus’ left foot. Could he be the MBM? Best wishes for a successful academic and social experience to all the incoming students.

Check this photo out - in the top right, it looks like the 6'1" Jamail Pink with a slightly taller person. I'm wondering if this could be the 6'5" mystery person we have also signed....

Looks like Boe Nguidjol with Jamal Pink. C'mon scout, let's lobby Commissioner to install facial recognition software on this board.

Maybe Boe is taller and Pink has grown.
