We offered guard Wendell Green Jr from Detroit Country Day I'm hoping that Green will be on the radar of the new coaching staff. He is continuing to show promise. Mid major offers are piling up, and he's gaining some high major interest. From Twitter: Scott Hankamp @hankampscott · 1h1 hour ago
Detroit Country Day defeated Maumee Valley Country Day by 20 today. In a matchup of elite pg’s (Wendell Green Jr v Zeb Jackson) Green had a double-double with 19points 12rebounds and 5 assists. He continues to cement himself as an elite PG nationally.
Wendell Green, who first hit our radar almost six years ago as a class of 2020 recruit, is leaving Auburn and declaring for the draft. Green played his freshman year at Eastern Kentucky, scoring 16 points per game, and then transferred to Auburn. He scored about 13 ppg game there over two years, but didn't shoot well, hitting only 36% from the floor, including 29% from three. I'm old enough to remember when you had to be a great college player to even consider going to the NBA draft if you still had college eligibility. Of course, the NBA was a lot different then.
