I don't know most of these players and they may be great. What I do know is that it's becoming more and more depressing to read lines about 2020 & 2021 recruits that read "received his first D1 offer from Detroit Mercy".
We are legitimately recruiting some players that would otherwise be signing with D2 schools.
I do realize we had a late start, a bone- crushing APR ban and the COVID-19 virus... before it gets mentioned.

Yeah, I can already hear the excuses from coach Davis "we had 3 players coming, but they couldn't visit campus because of the Covid 19 and decided to go elsewhere".

Just like our fan base can use the COVID - 19 for their reason to not show up at Calihan. Wonder where everyone will go where there isn't C-19 ? Showing up and putting butts in the seats does help a lot more than constant complaining, if we truly are concerned fans. I think it's phenomenal that our so called fan base knew about C-19 years before the rest of the world and became world leaders in social distancing.

UP's message is serious, but the way he presented it cracked me up. Well done.

Yeah, it's kind of late in the game for good prospects that the Titans should be recruiting in those classes to get their first offers. Sometimes there are exceptions, of course. I think the Coach McCallum made the first D1 offer to Mike Edwards of Westland during the summer after his junior year in high school, after he averaged four points per game the previous season. He had a strong senior season and ended up going to Georgia, where he played four years. That's not normally the way it goes, though. Your point is a valid one.

His only issue is that he continually throws his comment at the few who actually go to the games.

I have never met either you or rbj in over fifty years and I have been asking about you guys. I asked about you a lot this year because I think you are a fellow Yooper but no one I know knows who you are.

I have quoted the number of games I attend in the past, usually just after you accuse me of not going to enough of them. No hard feelings as I agree with your point, in general. I don't usually go top games to socialize, but rather to watch the Titans with my son. It's fun seeing him get interested. I will try my best to run into Sam one of these days though. That's a long time coming. Plus, if I recall, he owes me some Gangland Detroit- style stories. YBI!

The past couple of years my job has kept me from attending all the Titan games that I would have liked to see.

Guard Byron Ottrix from Glenville HS in Ohio is on campus today for an unofficial visit Ottrix posted on social media today that he has committed to the Titans! Nice to get an early commitment. Hope we can hold 'em. He and his dad have it all over their social media, so that's a good sign. Ottrix plays at Glenville, which is a D-II school in Ohio (enrollment up to 355- everything larger is D-I). Ottrix's dad, Bryan Sr, is an assistant coach but took over as acting head coach for much of the season due to HC's illness. He's the type of player that Coach Davis seems to love: the small, quick point guard who can score. He's 5'11, averaged 23 points this season. He was 3rd team all-Lakes Region (that includes Cleveland, so it's pretty good competition) selection by the Ohio Prep Hoops Writers Association, but did not garner all-state recognition (even honorable mention). He was his conference MVP as a sophomore. Ohio Hoops, one of the scouting services in the state, did not have him in their top 35 prospects for 2021, but they typically update in April and haven't yet this year, so those rankings are a year old. Here are some self-selected highights: www.hudl.com/profile/10512218/Bryon-Ottrix-JrBonus: Glenville High's teams are called the "Tarblooders." Don't think I've ever heard that one before.
