ESPN has updated their Top 100 for 2021. Chet Holmgren, a 7-0, 183 beanpole from Minnesota, is ranked #1 in the class, although most people I talk to seem to prefer Patrick Baldwin, who ESPN ranks #2. Michigan is represented by: 63. Kobe Bufkin, Grand Rapids Christian. 66. Pierre Brooks, Detroit Douglas Academy. (Michigan State commit) 67. Jaden Atkins, Farmington Hills High. Julian Roper of St. Mary's, who committed to Northwestern, is not ranked in the ESPN 100. Rivals ranks him at 141. Of interest to me and Denny Crane, DePaul has two commitments in the class of 2021 so far: #40 Keon Edwards of South Carolina, and #78 Ahamad Bynum of Chicago. www.espn.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/playerrankings/_/view/espnu100/sort/rank/class/2021

You mean the fact that the name of the university has failed so miserably to catch on that mlive.com calls us something else? Yeah, failed branding.

You mean the fact that the name of the university has failed so miserably to catch on that mlive.com calls us something else? Yeah, failed branding. Glass houses. If you think that an instance of misspelling a name by one letter is comparable to a thirty year disaster of a branding campaign, you should expect to be alone in that opinion. However since you're suddenly focused on accuracy, perhaps you can think back a few months and give some examples of those "significant blemishes" that you claimed Coach Ray left on the program that "necessitated his departure". Or you can just admit that it was something you made up to support your position when the facts aren't on your side.

I think you're taking this too seriously, Sam. I think NC was joking.

I think you're taking this too seriously, Sam. I think NC was joking. That's your opinion. But whether he was joking or not, I wasn't. And I don't see how answering his post and asking for clarification of something he said before is "taking this too seriously". It's a message board. He posted; I responded.

Commish was (as usual) right. I was making a joke about a misspelling / type of a name. Apparently Legend Geeter needs to work on his name branding.
I'm particularly OCD about spelling names correctly. You can see that by looking through my posts on both boards. McFolley without the "e," Isiani's first name spelled "Willie." It's why I always referred to Boe as Boe -- no way I was going tempt fate with Nguidjol; it was enough that quite often he was referred to as "Bo."

Yet no response regarding Coach Ray's "missteps".
I think it's safe to say that was just talk that day. 😉
