Billy Thomas, originally a class of 2016 Titan target who supposedly reclassified to 2017 with a prep move, is apparently back in the class of 2016. I would guess he is still a Titan targer, as he was before and after reclassifying the first time. twitter.com/billnumbatwo

JaChristian Biles has committed to the Titans. Biles is a 6-3 SG from Oak Park. He committed to Youngstown State as a HS Senior (Class of '14) but didn't qualify with the NCAA and ended up at Schoolcraft CC. Last year he averaged 14.3 ppg while shooting 39.6% from three. The word comes from Biles' coach at Schoolcraft on Twitter.
Nice to get another fall commitment. Now we need a big man. I would have liked it to be Dylan Carl. Algevon?

From Twitter: Brad Winton @jucorecruiting 3h3 hours ago 2016 Schoolcraft College guard Ja'Christian Biles has committed to the University of Detroit, per his coach (Love that "University of Detroit". I didn't see that one coming, but it's a solid pick up. Biles was a definite mid major prospect in high school and had a strong freshman year on a very good Schoolcraft team. i hope that three point percentage holds up. I wonder if we are recruiting Anthony Wartley Fritz, former high school teammate of Aaron Foster Smith. He is a teammate of Biles at Schoolcraft and played well as a freshman, averaging 9 points and 7 rebounds in about twenty minutes per game. He's listed at 6-7, 250.

Note that Biles' 14.6 (not 14.3) ppg came in just 23 minutes per game. Like most good juco teams, Schoolcraft runs a lot of kids in and out.

Rivals has the Titans offering Marcus Ottey, a 6' PG from Geneva Ohio. I thought we wanted bigs.

Wish the Titans could find a good center in the class of '16. I know of no one left who would fit that bill that the Titans have recruited with one exception. That's Carleton Williams, a 6-9 PF/C from Montgomery Alabama (previously from Chicago) who mentioned in an interview in 2014 that the Titans were recruiting him. He's supposed to have an offer from Georgia, and some mid-major offers. He shows quite a bit of high major interest with no offers other than Georgia. I know nothing more about him or if we are after him or in play for him.
There are no good big men left in Michigan in the Class of '16. I'm sure the staff is beating the bushes around the country, and especially juco ranks. Most of the best high school seniors are, of course, already committed.
