"5. Algevon Eichelberger, 6-6 F, Saginaw. Future150.com ranks Eichelberger #37 in class. *Detroit, *IUPUI, Iowa, Michigan, MSU, Purdue, Stanford, Wisconsin, Xavier. "
AE reportedly was on a visit to MSU this weekend.

Added Rawle Alkins, a hot SG from Brooklyn. He's already attracted some high-major options, and would seem a bit of a longshot (Brandon Romaine just didn't open up that Brooklyn pipeline like we thought ;-) ) but Rivals reports the Titans in contact.

Rivals has its first ratings out for the Class of 2016. Josh Jackson of Detroit Consortium is #1. Miles Bridges of Flint, now at Huntingdon Academy in West Virginia, is #18. Detroit has offered Bridges. A third Michigan player, Cassius Winston of UD High, is #35. Also on the list, at #19, is Rawle Alkins, with whom Detroit has been in contact. Obviously Bridges and Alkins are longshots for Detroit.

At The Prepball Report, 2016 guard Lamon Richardson lists UD as a team he'd like to play for - but notes that so far he's not generated interest from UD or others. The latter fact is not too surprising - only the very top of the 2016 class is getting attention yet - but it's nice that he expresses that interest in UD. It's also interesting (though I'm not sure what, if anything, it means) because 2014 Titan target Ray Croon is a teammate at Redford Thurston. The other schools he says he'd like to play for are UM, MSU, Kentucky and Florida - nice that at least one potential recruit puts us in that company.

I added Anthony Christian and Carlton Williams. Barring transfers, injuries etc., we are looking at 3 scholarships for the Class of 2016, to replace Brundidge, Wilson, and Ackerman. Getting to be a lot of names on the list. I expect sometime in the spring, as these guys play their soph years and begin to get a better sense of their scholarship possibilities, and we get a better appraisal on them, we'll start to see offers and a sense of whom we really want. Right now the #1 target for 2016 is Algevon Eichelberger, and I presume he keeps that spot unless and until he tells us "no."
